What is the dual credit program?
Mount Marty University dual credit program provides a unique
opportunity for students to enroll in courses that earn both high school
graduation and college credit simultaneously. MMU's first partnerships
in the Dual Credit Program were formed in 1996 and have proven to
be very successful and an educational asset to students who take
advantage of the program.
What are the benefits?
Through participation in the dual credit program, students gain
confidence in themselves and their ability to do college level work. This
allows high school juniors and seniors to get a "jump start" on their
college education. By receiving college credit for these courses
students do not have to repeat basic level freshman courses in college.
This may allow students to graduate in four years, take lighter credit
loads, or double major.
What are the costs?
$60 per credit hour
Refer to Parent/Student Guide for financial information
Who is eligible to register?
Students must obtain approval from their high school's guidance
counselor, teacher, or appropriate personnel to register for a dual
credit course. Students must be approved for advanced placement
