.

1. Launch Powerpoint, open a blank presentation, and type the heading of your Weather Report. Be sure to save the Powerpoint document with a file name that is related to what your Weather Report is about.

2. Launch Britannica Online, Electric Library, SIRS or ProQuest, find articles that would support what you want to include in your Weather Report.

3. While reviewing the data that is available to you, look for new facts that you would want to include in your presentation -- along with graphics or photos -- and paste them into your Powerpoint presentation.

4. Using the Weather links on page 2 of this document, explore the World Wide Web for more information about Weather. Also, ProQuest has web links ( click on Education Periodicals -- then click continue -- type in what you're looking for, like "Weather", and click on any of the boxes on that page that you want to exclude or include ). If you find more facts, graphics and/or photos, be sure and include them with your presentation. Be sure not to plagiarize.

5. When you find photos, graphics, diagrams and other images that help explain your presentation, save these photos, graphics, diagrams and images by clicking on your right mouse button while pointing at the photos, graphics, diagrams and images with your mouse pointer; choose Copy, then paste them into your presentation. Keep track of your sources. In other words, if you use information from a document on the World Wide Web, write down or copy the title of the document, the author, and the URL address.

STEP 2: Weather Reporter

3. When your Powerpoint presentation is complete, you will be ready to present it to your class.
