This is our official FIRST newsletter of the school year. Our weekly newsletter contains information about our class highlights and activities, our thematic unit, letter of the week, and target activities & concepts from our service providers. We hope that the information in our weekly newsletter will help you reinforce key concepts and skills at home. Consistency is vital!

Our thematic unit this week is on the Five Senses- sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. We will discuss examples of SIGHT (colors, faces), SMELL (bread, fragrant oils), HEARING (bells, animal sounds), TASTE (sour, salty), and TOUCH (soft, rough).

Our letter of the week is the letter "A". This letter has a long A sound as in the word "ape" and a short A sound as in the word "apple". Vocabulary words may include: apple, ape, airplane, acorn, ant.
