We planted some seeds and beans before the Easter break and we will be looking about how these have grown. We will also learning about the life cycles of hens, frogs and butterflies. We are eagerly awaiting the surprise delivery of some new friends in nursery to help consolidate learning of this topic. Please chat to your child at home about what they have been learning in school. Some of our songs this month include 5 Speckled Frogs, There’s a tiny caterpillar on a leaf, In and out of the dusty blue bells. (See our song/rhyme section on website)Safety on the AvenueAs all the schools are returning to normal this week, our school site will be exceptionally more busy than it has been. Please ensure that you adhere to the social distancing protocols in place within our school during drop off and collection times. We ask all parents to be mindful of supervising their children at such times and keep to the footpaths provided. The school avenue is still used for traffic at such times and it is parents responsibility to supervise and ensure the safety of their children. We would also ask those drivers with a blue disabled badge, who gain access to our school through the barrier, please be particularly mindful to pedestrians also using the avenue. Please remember DO NOT park at the barrier at ANY times. Thank you for your co operation during Dinner Money/School Fund envelopesIt has become apparent some parents are not paying on time or forgetting to put their child’s name / date on the money envelopes. This causes confusion when recording payment information for each child. Please ensure dinner money/school fund is paid promptly and placed in envelopes which are clearly labelled with the date and child’s name. Thank you for your consideration. School MenuThe school catering service (EA) have introduced a generic dinner menu for all schools. This menu is displayed on the school website / sent through SeeSaw for your information. We begin this week on Week 3 of the menu. CoatsPlease make sure your child has a coat with them every day as we like to go outside. Remember to promote your child’s independence by encouraging them to put on and zip up their own coats. ................
