We are a registered charity (number 1081013) and a company limited by guarantee. We have a separate company – Age UK Croydon Trading Limited for our Social Enterprise Services. Age UK Croydon is a vibrant and successful voluntary sector charity whose aim is to promote the health, wellbeing and independence of older people who live in Croydon. Age UK Croydon has a dynamic staff team of seventy five, over ninety volunteers and an annual turnover of approximately ?1.5 million. We run services from two core sites, and additionally provide services and activities at over 35 venues throughout Croydon. Age UK Croydon runs an extensive range of activities and services to promote the health, wellbeing and independence of older people in Croydon. In all we directly run some sixteen projects. Our current contract with Croydon Council ends in March 2021 and we are in negotiations with the council.We need to review the skill set of the team and analyse service data to plan the service delivery model against the need of Croydon residents and the objectives of the funders. This may mean reducing or expanding the service and we will need evidence of capability to take this work forward.We are in the process of completing our reassessment for the IAQP standard which we need to be sure that we are fully prepared for.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Information and Advice Manager to carry out some specific tasksSkills and ExperienceA minimum of 2 years managing an advice teamA thorough knowledge and understanding of IAQP proceduresExperience of service planning and quality managementExcellent knowledge and experience with Charity LogExperience of working effectively with volunteersRole RequirementsReview staff skill levels and experience to identify training needs and areas for improvement or developmentReview processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement Implement any necessary changes and revisionsAnalyse data to produce a service structure and plan based on number and level of enquiries and on future development needs in collaboration with the Programmes DirectorCarry out independent file reviews to ensure the quality of advice and adviser skill is at the appropriate standard.
