1.0 Identification and Traceability

All products are identified throughout their life cycle as defined in the Manufacturing Procedure. Other identification and traceability requirements are defined in work instructions and/or job-specific documentation. The inspection status of supplies is recorded on accompanying paperwork with a rubber stamp by inspection personnel, and in some instances, with notations and signatures. Rubber stamps are of a design distinctly different from Government inspection stamps. QC stamps or registered names and initials of inspectors may also be used to identify acceptance of supplies as well as electronic records.

The Company maintains a log of approved electronic signatures and the Quality Manager maintains a log of QC stamps and inspector names and initials.

2.0 Inspection Stamps

The Quality Group controls and maintains inspection stamps. The primary acceptance stamp is circular in shape. The Quality Manager maintains a list of inspection personnel and the number of their stamp. Inspection stamps are not reissued for a period of three months when the stamp is removed from service. Stamps that are lost are canceled and not reissued. An inspector's handwritten or electronic initials may be used instead of a stamp at the discretion of the inspector. Each inspector’s electronic initial shall be stored in an individually assigned, password protected directory.
