STUDENT OFFICERS DEVELOP LEADERSHIP AT FCCLA CAMP

Arden Hills, MN - Regional and state Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) officers attended the Dynamic Leadership I training August 1st and 2nd at the Bethel University college campus in Arden Hills, Minnesota. Attendees discovered their roles as an officer, learned about FCCLA’s national programs, enjoyed networking together, and gained valuable leadership skills.

“The FCCLA Amazing Race” was the theme for this year’s youth leadership training, allowing students to race through the various opportunities offered through FCCLA and explore what FCCLA has in store for them. Officers were given assignments to prepare prior to camp, including studying for a factual FCCLA test and designing and presenting a workshop activity on a FCCLA national program. The workshop activity they innovated will be given at local region leadership conferences this coming fall to new FCCLA members. Knowledge students gained from the leadership training will be implemented at their chapter and region levels; the FCCLA region officers also worked to plan their fall conferences and local, chapter activities throughout the school year.

Region officers, State peer educators, Junior High Council members and chapter leaders attended Dynamic Leadership I lead by the State Executive Council.
