If you have a GPA of 3.0 and scored a 20 on the ACT, you can still win scholarships, provided that you have a strong essay. A strong essay can overcome grades and test scores that are a little bit weak, but high grades and high test scores cannot overcome a weak essay nearly as well. There is no “cutoff” for GPA or for ACT/SAT scores. ................
