Katungul is managed by an elected Board of Directors. The Aboriginal Clinical Administration Officer is responsible for ensuring provision of high quality reception services and administration support to the various Katungul teams. KATUNGUL’S VALUES1. Reception DutiesReceive all clients into the BranchAnswer all incoming calls in a professional and empathetic mannerEnsure all client needs in term of immediate and on-going care are met before and after consultationUpdate and maintain appointment booking systems for the branchAssist with all Medicare billing processes and proceduresEnsure client, patient and member details are current at each visitEnsure all complaints, feedback and client issues are reported to the Administration Coordinator 2. Administration and General DutiesProvide Administration support to the Clinical Coordinator and other team members as requiredAssist the Clinical Coordinator to book, coordinate and monitor transport within the BranchOrder and maintain stationery supplies as requiredCarry out routine housekeeping of the branch throughout the dayActivate and deactivate security alarm at the beginning and end of each shiftLog outgoing and incoming mail and faxesEnsure patient and practice correspondence is distributed appropriately, acknowledged and filedMaintain up to date knowledge of Aboriginal health and general referral networks and information appropriate to the local communityReceive intake referrals for the various clinical servicesTo be responsible for entering and maintaining statistics for service provision Take minutes for Branch meetings and other meetings as requiredGeneral Responsibilities as an Employee of KatungulBe responsible to the immediate supervisorWork within Katungul’s policies and proceduresCommitment to culturally appropriate service provision Provide services in a way that recognises the many factors that affect a person’s health statusCommitment to client-centred care, integrated service provision and trauma informed practiceBe a positive role model to clients, staff and visitorsWork as part of the teamParticipate in continuous improvement and accreditation activities Maintain any professional qualifications/registrations required as part of the position Keep records and client notes in a professional way Ensure that clients and stakeholders understand how to make a complaint To perform any other duties as required by the immediate supervisor or the CEO CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Terms and conditions of employment will be based on the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services Award 2010Some additional hours may be required This position may require some travel to Katungul’s other Branches.
