Everything happens for a reasonNarrator: SashaRohan: RiekeshKrishna: NikhilBusinessman: UmmeeshPauper: NayantaraAir Hostess: KatyaniPolice officer: ThevaNarrator: Ishwara prasadam, trusting your journey, takes courage and sincere devotion. Understanding that each instant in your life has reason and purpose, regardless of whether it was anticipated, is not an easy notion to grasp. In this skit, a sevak asserts that Bhagwan’s role standing as a statue and being venerated is an easy undertaking and requests that he and Bhagwan switch roles for a day. Let’s watch as the story unfolds… Rohan: Bhagavanji, don't you get bored standing as a statue, just smiling all the time? In the same position, same place? 24/7?? It must be one of the easiest things to do!! I have a suggestion. Why don’t we change roles for a day? You take my place, do my roles for the day I shall do yours. Even you need break - a change in life.Krishna: Standing here is not as easy as it seems. It is very difficult. You do your own duties and let me do mine.Rohan: No no God. Come on! Just one dayyy! I will do as you tell me to do. I’ll stand the way you want me to stand and even where you want me to stand. I’ll hold the flute just like you!! And you take my role for one day. Live the life i live. Take a holiday.Krishna: Okay okay.. we shall exchange roles - BUT you will have to remember one instruction of mine. You will have to stand just like a statue, you are not allowed to say a word or move.. Regardless of whatever anyone says. Some may come to share their happiness while others will share their pains, but you must not interfere in their lives. Don't say anything, don't move. I have it all worked out. You, Just be the silent observer. Rohan: Ok done!! I will stand here and I won’t say anything!Narrator: The Sevak takes the place of Lord Krishna and Bhagvan goes on taking his role. Soon “Bhagvan” meets his first devotee, a business man.Bs Man: JSK Bhagvan! Please help me earn more money and fame. I am opening a new factory next week and please shower your blessings on me.Narrator: As the business man gets up to leave, he forgets his wallet on the floor and without realising this, he gets up and leaves. Seeing this Rohan, who was standing there as Bhagvan feels very agitated and wants to tell the business man that he has left his wallet here. However, he remembers what Bhagvan had told him, and remains standing in his position. In the mean time, another devotee, a pauper, comes towards the murti.Pauper: JSK Bhagvan! I only have 1 ringgit left and even that I have offered at your feet. I am facing a lot of problems at home, my son is very sick and i need money to pay for the medicines. We don’t even have enough food on our table. Bhagvan, please help me.Narrator: As the pauper got up, she spots the wallet that had been left behind by the business man, a wallet that had lots of money in it.Pauper: Thank you Lord! you have given me this money. i shall now be able to buy medicines to help my family. thank you so much Bhagvan. Jai Shree Krishna! Jai Shree Krishna!!Narrator: Seeing this, Rohan becomes even more worried thinking that the pauper has stolen the wallet. He feels he had not given it to her. However he recalls Bhagavans words again.. and remembers that he must only be the silent observer. Rohan: i cant do anything except watch and wait. sighNarrator: In the meantime, another devotee of the lord, an air hostess comes to Bhagvan.Air Hostess: O Lord! I am going to be traveling for 15 days. I have just gotten this job! Please keep your blessings with me.Narrator: Just then, the business man, who had left his wallet behind, comes in with the police. Business Man: After me, she has come. She must have taken my wallet!! Arrest her!(police arrests the air hostess)Narrator: Seeing all this, Rohan could not hold him self longer.Rohan: Even Bhagvan would not tolerate this much injustice. i have to stop them. Enough is enough i have to tell them.Rohan: Excuse me, I am Bhagvan, and i have seen what has happened here. The business mans wallet was stolen by the pauper, arrest her. The air hostess had no involvement in it, so leave her, she needs to go for work. Narrator: Rohan then returns to his position and by then, Bhagvan returns to the mandir.Krishna: Hello there! How are you? How has your day been?Rohan: Oh Bhagavan, you’re back! It is so good to see you! You’re right – it’s not easy being you! Guess what happened??? Narrator: Rohan continues to relate the events that unfolded during the day to BhagavanKrishna: oh dear!! You haven't saved the injustice from happening, you have created more problems. I told you not to say anything, not to move, just stand here like a statue. Now, listen to my planning which was even out of your thinking. All the money owned by the businessman was money he gained from robbing and stealing from others!! If his money could have helped save the pauper’s family, it would have helped reduce the businessmans bad Karma. The pauper on the other hand, always does seva for others. Whatever money he had left, he would channel into helping other people. So this way the businessman would have reduced his Karma and his money would have gone to the right place. And most importantly, the air hostess, she was going to be traveling through such a storm.. If the air hostess was in jail, she wouldn’t have been able to get on the plane which would save her from her death.Rohan then shakes his head, looks down, folds hands, touches krishna’s feet. ConclusionMany a time, we find ourselves questioning the way our lives have turned out. “Why do I have to deal with so many problems? Why can’t life be easier?” A universal truth worth remembering is that there will be some point in your life where you will fail. Some point where you will experience tribulation and where you will feel like throwing in the towel. Few on this planet enjoy an existence of unruffled freedom and ease, and ultimately, you will decide what your definition of failure is. Whatever the case, knowing that you have come out stronger and wiser from setbacks means that you are secure in your capacity to carry on. You will never truly know yourself, or the strength of your relationship with your family, your friends and Bhagwan, until these have been tested by hardship. Such knowledge is precious. Tough times don’t last, tough people do, and if Bhagwan takes you to it he will take you through it. Our job is to carry out the duties we must fulfill, engage in the right karma, and remember that awakening to the sun’s shine each morning is a privilege we are all exceptionally blessed to have. Rock bottom is a solid foundation on which you can engineer a beautiful life, so when times are difficult, stop saying “Why me?” and start saying “Try me.” Because you, with your insight, wisdom and with Bhagwan by your side, are a remarkable force, and nothing can stop you from being the extraordinary individual you were born to be.END ................
