WEEKLY COLLECTION INFORMATION

GARBAGE AND RECYCLABLES

? All materials must be placed at the curb by 7:00 AM on your scheduled collection day. Not before 6:00 PM on the day before your collection day.

? Garbage only shall be placed in a Village issued tote container with lid closed.

BRUSH AND YARD WASTE

? Small brush, hedge and tree clippings (under 2 feet), grass clippings and vines must be containerized or bundled, or placed in paper lawn bags. Do not use garbage or recycling totes.

TRASH

? Carpet, carpet padding, pool liners, and pool covers must be cut in 4 foot widths, rolled, and tied, not to exceed 65 pounds. ? Fences, plasterboard, drywall, paneling and doors not to exceed 4' x 4' sections. All smaller materials must

be securely bundled not to exceed 4 feet in length or 60 pounds. ? Furniture, windows, scrap lumber (with nails bent down or removed no longer than 4 feet and bundled),

bedding, window glass, and mirrors shall be placed at the curb. ? DEBRIS FROM ANY CONTRACTED WORK DONE ON YOUR PROPERTY MUST BE DISPOSED OF BY THE CONTRACTOR.

PAINT, LATEX

? In original containers in a SOLID FORM by using oil-dry products, kitty litter, sand or air dry and place in garbage, with lids removed. ? Pesticides, pool chemicals, paint thinners, oil based paints, lead batteries, flammable materials and flammable liquids, etc.

WILL NOT BE COLLECTED. Please call ERIE COUNTY HAZARDOUS WASTE at 858-6800 for disposal

METAL, ELECTRONICS & OTHER DEBRIS

The Village DPW will pickup the following items: Pickup is 2nd and 4th Mondays, March thru October only. Pickups November thru February are on Fridays by appointment only, through the Village office. Put items out before 7 AM on Monday, or scheduled pickup day.

LARGE APPLIANCES - WHITE GOODS

? Washers, dryers, dishwashers, hot water tanks, refrigerators, freezers or air conditioners (door and freon removed), empty propane tanks, etc. No metal objects shall exceed 8 feet in length.

ELECTRONICS

? Printers, monitors, TVs, microwave ovens, telephones, cell phones, etc.

TREE BRANCHES & TRIMMINGS

? Tree branches & Trimmings not to exceed 6 feet in length or 4 inches in diameter. Must be piled with butt end in same direction. Branches, etc. must be placed between curb and sidewalk.

LOGS, CONCRETE ETC.

? Large logs, tree stumps, broken concrete, bricks, RR ties shall be placed between curb and sidewalk for pickup.

LEAF COLLECTION

? Leaves in the FALL ONLY, can be raked up and placed BETWEEN the curb and sidewalk for pick up. Do not place in street.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT USED TIRES.

The Recycling Menu inside this newsletter contains the lastest version of what you can recycle. Please use this menu when recycling.

NEW Yardwaste Collection Yardwaste collection begins on April 1st and runs through November 30th annually.

pickup of yard waste is on regular garbage day. Place at curb in TIED bundles, PAPER bags, or containers with two handles and weight not exceeding 60 pounds. Do not use plastic bags or include plastic pots.

Winter Tote Placement

In order for your totes to be safely picked up, they should be placed flat & not on top of a snow bank.

Please remember to place your recycling and trash totes with the wheels toward your house and two to three feet of space between your totes and other objects on both sides of the totes.

Also, please do not park in front of your totes.

Electronics Reminder

Do not place electronics in the tote. The Village DPW will pickup electronics. Pickup is 2nd and 4th Mondays, March thru October only. Pickups November thru February are on Fridays by appointment only, through the Village office. Put items out before 7 AM on Monday.
