|Physical Education |
|Children will have opportunities to follow programmes in games, athletics, gymnastics and dance in both the indoor & outdoor |

|many opportunities to develop fine/gross motor skills. They will recognise that exercise is very important for a healthy |
|lifestyle. They will complete a course in fundamental movement skills. |
|ICT |
|Develop their personal ICT skills. Use a mouse & keyboard. Familiarise themselves with the Foundation programmes & they will |
|in time learn to log onto their own individual sites. They will use internet programmes with help & learn to use programmable |

This learning plan provides you with an overview of the learning areas and the skills and capabilities to be developed throughout Primary 1 in line with the N.I. curriculum.

|Pupils will follow the programme as developed in Grow In Love. Children will take, prepare and present school assemblies, |
|perform in Christmas shows & attend whole school masses. |
|Personal Development |
|Through various class activities children will explore the importance of friendship and relationships. They will be |
|encouraged to develop tolerance and respect for others. |
|Pupils will be aware of the importance of a balanced and healthy lifestyle and the means of achieving this. They will take a |
|proactive approach to their own personal safety in the environment including road safety. |
