Willie has created a flyer to be placed on the donation box with copies for the Welcome table. B. November - Shoes for the Homeless Shelter of Northern Kentucky in Covington. They do not have to be new. Gently used footwear is acceptable.C. December - Gifts to the Manger for Washington UCC: New Toys, unwrapped with some wrapping paper on the side.D. Ongoing - Blessing Bags. We voted unanimously to approve Pastor Keith’s recent proposal to transfer this project to three people in the Church who are willing to do the shopping and stuffing of the bags on a regular basis, with the Pastor’s Discretionary Assistance Fund covering the expense. Attendees at the Friendship Center may be asked to stuff bags from time to time, or supply gloves and/or socks for seasonal needs.5. Future Promotion of Events and Charitable Endeavors: Willie will write and place an ad in the October Edition of the Bellevue Community News asking people interested in donating coats, etc. to call/email St. John to arrange for a suitable day and time to drop them off.Bruce will write articles for the E-Weekly for the October coat collections and for the Prevues announcing the Thanksgiving Congregational meal, the Holiday Senior Meal and the All Church Charitable Collections for November and December.6. Yard Signs: It was noted that the Fairfield Avenue side, which was reserved for OMG for display signs, ex: Friendship Center or Senior Meals, has recently been featuring non-OMG signs that should be placed on the Ward Avenue side. This space allocation decision was made after the City of Bellevue restricted the number of signs for our church building to two. Action items: See Sections 3 and 5 under “Challenges”.Next meeting: Thursday December 7, 2017, from 2 to 3:30 PM in the church lounge. ................
