Click on the tab that reads Blank Publications. The window should like the one below:

Under the blank Publications column, click on Tent Card. Click on the button that reads Create.

The Quick Publication Wizard The workspace is divided into two areas: The main area and the Quick Publication Wizard. Prior to working on the main area, you need to answer some basic questions in the wizard.

The top panel of the wizard is the steps to completing the wizard. The bottom part is the corresponding answers to what is selected on the top panel Introduction ? brief description of the wizard. Design ? choose a design of your liking. Whichever one you choose the main work area will change based on what you chose. Color Scheme ? available color schemes for your project Layout ? pre-formatted content layouts for your project. Personal Information ? a place to put in your address and other information. Publisher will store this information so that you can use it for other projects (this is more for business purposes) After you have answered the questions in the wizard you can start editing the main area of your project. You can hide the wizard so that the main area becomes enlarged. Click on the button in the bottom right that reads Hide Wizard.

Working in the main area The items in the main area are referred to as objects. You may delete these objects and insert your own objects.

Deleting objects Right click on the object and choose delete object

Resizing objects ? Click on an object to select it ? Move the cursor to a corner or side handle ? the cursor changes into a resize handle. Click and drag to resize the object.

Moving objects ? Click on the object to select it ? Move the cursor to the image until you see the cursor turn into a moving van. ? Click and drag to move the object

To add a drop shadow to an object ? Click to select the object ? Click on Format > Shadow

To align text vertically within an object ? Click to select the object ? Place the pointer on the object ? Tap the right mouse button ? Rest the pointer on the words Change Text ? Rest the pointer on the words Align Text Vertically ? Left click on either Top, Center, or Bottom

Object Toolbar This toolbar allows you to place various objects on the project.

Place/rest the pointer on each of the objects to see a screen tip for each object. When you click on the objects, the object is turned on. You must then move your mouse to the work area and then click and drag a box to create that object.

Clip Gallery Tool Object ? Click once on the clip gallery object (red man button) ? Move the mouse to the work area ? Click and drag a box ? When you let go of the mouse, clip gallery will open. Now you can search for clip art and insert it into the box that you drew.

Picture Frame Tool ? Click once on the clip gallery object (red man button) ? Move the mouse to the work area ? Click and drag a box ? Place the pointer in the middle of the box and double click ? An insert picture dialog box appears. Navigate to where the picture is

located and click Insert. That picture will appear in the box that you created.

The Second Page (Copy and Paste the objects from page one to page two) ? On page one click on the word edit from the menu toolbar ? Click on Select All ? Click on Edit from the menu toolbar ? Click on Edit and choose Copy ? Locate Page 2 of your publication and click on it ? Click on Edit from the menu toolbar ? Click on Paste

Save and print the publication
