Points to Remember:

• A prayer of the Faithful consists of a number of intercessions. Each intercession is a petition. We ask God for something. We do not thank or praise him at this time.

• At the beginning of the prayer of the faithful, everyone is invited to pray. The prayer may be addressed to the people but not God. Each intercession does not require an invitation to pray because the priest has already invited the people to pray before the petitions begin.

• The prayer in the prayer of the Faithful comes at the end. Eg. “Lord, we ask you to hear our prayer”
