Lisa handed out the letter in response to the Grand Jury letter requesting additional information to our response to recommendations in the 2001-2012 Yolo County Grand Jury Report concerning the Workforce Investment Board (WIB).

2. Approve the May 8, 2013, WIB Agenda

3. Receive Workforce Services Information Notice 12-43 New One-Stop Branding-America’s Job Center of California Network

This Information Notice informs the Local Workforce Investment Boards of the upcoming rollout of the universal branding of California’s One-Stop Centers as America’s Job Center of California (AJCC) network. This rollout will officially begin on July 1, 2013.

4. Receive Workforce Services Information Notice 12-47 YSEPL Update April 2013

This Information Notice provides the update of the State’s Youth Service Eligible Provider List (YSEPL).

5. Receive Workforce Services Information Notice 12-48 Termination of the Employment and Training Network

The purpose of this Information Notice is to inform you that the Employment Development Department (EDD) contract for the Employment Training Network (ETN) services will expire at the end of this program year and not be renewed.

6. Receive Workforce Services Information Notice 12-49 VETS 101 Web-Based Tool

This Information Notice serves to introduce a new online resource to help veterans navigate important career and finance decisions. The Vets101 web-based tools was developed by the World Institute on Disability (WID) with support from the Employment Development Department (EDD) and other workforce development partners and offers free online career planning tools and information.

7. Receive Workforce Services Information Notice 12-51 Waiver of 80 Percent WIA Funds Obligation Requirement for PY 2012-13

The purpose of this Information Notice is to inform the Workforce Development Community of a temporary waiver of the requirement that Local Workforce Investment Areas (LWIAs) obligate at least 80 percent of their Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program dollars by the end of the program year (PY).

8. Receive Workforce Services Information Notice 12-52 Extension of PY 2012-13 Rapid Response Funds

This Information Notice announces changes to the formula-based Program Year (PY) 2012 Rapid Response (RR) funding provided to Local Workforce investment Areas (Local Areas) for the period of July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2013.

9. Receive Workforce Services Directive 12-13 Temporary Extension of WIA Statewide Waivers and State Plan

The purpose of this directive is to convey the policy and procedural information pertaining to the extension of 11 statewide waives granted to the State of California under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998.
