All Roads lead to Science Fiction

What is Science Fiction? Science fiction is like a vehicle that can carry us to the imaginary future world. It is a coalescence of the profound fields - science and literature. These two disciplines are generally presumed to be poles apart. Science always pays attention to the proven facts, but literature focuses on both facts and fantasy. Science fiction exposes how science has been transforming the fields such as industry, education, government, politics, medicine, space exploration, military, and so on. The working place of scientists' is the laboratory, where they execute all their experiments. While the laboratory is the birthplace of scientific innovations, literature is the laboratory of the science fiction writers' creative innovations. The science fiction is focused entirely in the mind's eye of the author. In the real world, scientists are allowed to exhibit their inventions only after the successful experimentation of the product. On the other hand, the science fiction forum allowed scientists or writers to exhibit even their imaginary inventions and its potential through a perfect storyline. Thus, people from various fields like cybernetic, engineering, arts, and humanities can have a role in science fiction and has the

liberty to come up with their possible future predictions. Science fiction is a distinguished form of literature in which the stories often tell about science and technology of the future. It involves speculations, extrapolations, and thought-experiments on current or future science or technology. Numerous technologies are introduced in science fiction before its existence in the real scientific world. The setting of science fiction is always projected in far/ near future, space, alternate worlds, different planets, underground, under the sea, and on the moon. It depicts either a utopian or a dystopian picture of the past or the future world that too with a present concern. The common elements of science fiction are advanced artificial intelligence, space colonies, space travel, cyborgs, time travel, teleportation, holograms, and so on. The characters of science fiction are human beings, superhuman, aliens, robots, computers, and monsters. It is the study of the impact of science and technology on humanity. A link will be provided in the next version of the brochure for more detailed information on SF.
