294449569215000There are more gaming platforms within today’s market than you’d care to think. As the gaming war enrages, amongst people fending for their own gaming supremacy, the number and strength of today’s gaming platforms are ever increasing. Basically gaming platforms are used to experience today’s vast selection of virtual games. The game creation process is not simple at all, and does not merely happen overnight by the suggestion of an idea. Primarily the game designers must choose which of todays many gaming platforms will get the chance to experience this newly thought up piece of technical genius.Due to the countless differences amongst the gaming platforms, certain games’ appearing on certain consoles is just a ridiculous idea. For example we couldn’t possible expect the same intense experience which is commonly found within any Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 online title, as we would find on the less graphically capable, more family friendly Nintendo Wii. This is due to a few factors which are imposed upon the console upon creation, for example the fact that the Xbox and the PS3 can both output high definition video and audio through compatible TV’s, whereas the Wii is forced to output through a 480p definition, which is a whole 3 times less. This is due to the fact that the Wii’s disk are capable of storing a lot less memory than the Xbox 360’s disk and in turn the PS3’s mighty Blu-ray disk has the potential of storing even more detail than that. This is not to say that the Wii does not have its fair share of advantages such as the high level of control imposed upon the gamer due to the movement based play. The other two consoles of ‘The Big 3’ have attempted to remedy the Wiis main selling point by introducing their own variations of the Wii console but adding them onto their already more powerful, more capable platforms. Xbox went with the idea of ‘Kinect’ a completely wireless gaming experience that featured something no other platform had ever attempted, let alone succeeded. Their design featured no controller meaning that the Wiis attempt to create ‘Virtual Reality gaming’ was taken one step further by making the gamer the controller, and therefore making every movement count. To date, Kinect has not reached its full potential and has so far underachieved. PS3 went for the idea of PlayStation move which was basically the use of a ‘Move Controller’, much like the original Wii controller, and then add PlayStations high Definition to the game in an attempt to merely ‘1up’ the Wii. To date, this has also underachieved due to the rather small game library available to the market. Even though the Wii is graphically and potentially the worst of the big 3, and it lacks multiplayer online intensity, It still remains the highest selling and most popular of them.064262000Multiple ‘game testers’ are hired to evaluate each system’s compatibility with newly designed games. This generally leads to around 90% of today’s games to be released in pretty much all ‘current-gen’ consoles. Each console has its o wn Exclusively released titles, the Xbox has ‘Gears of war’ and ‘Halo’, both releasing multiple titles all achieving popularity, and the Ps3 has ‘ Resistance’ and ‘Kill zone’ once again both raising millions. The Wii on the other hand has an almost entire exclusive gaming market, which is due to the extreme individuality of the Wii, almost earning it a gaming market of its own. All consoles today cost a large amount of money, some more than others, but to everyone who owns one agrees that the money is well spent and enjoy the virtual experience. ................
