Digital Health Summit Announces Game Changers of 2011

Executive from Microsoft US Health & Life Sciences Industry Group to Unveil Technologies Pushing the Boundaries in Digital Health in 2011

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 6, 2010 – The Digital Health Summit at CES today announced that at this year’s event, it and Microsoft will name the game-changing technologies, products and services in digital health in 2011. PhiloMetron, Proteus Biomedical, Healthsense and Steeper's BeBionic are among the top companies being honored by Digital Health Summit and Microsoft in helping to advance best practices for the advancement of digital health. They will join Jeanine Martin, US Health Provider Industry Strategist, US Health & Life Sciences Industry Group, Microsoft, in a special panel on Friday, January 7th from 3:30 to 4:00 pm (Las Vegas Convention Center, LVCC North Hall, N253) that will highlight each of the technologies and their role in the growing category.

“The growth of the digital health category is bringing new companies and technologies to the forefront. It’s an exciting time and being able to bring these individuals together in one room to show, talk about and demonstrate their various technologies is an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up,” said Jill Gilbert, co-producer of The Digital Health Summit.

The Digital Health Summit focuses on the growing market of consumer-based innovations that sit at the convergence of technology and healthcare. This year’s event will bring together well-known health and technology players and experts to explore trends and technologies leading the way and explore its future.

The Game Changers panel is a new, special event, and integral part of the one-day event and is schedule to become an annual event in future summits.
