Website Content Strategy Christine FultonAET/552June 29, 2015Dr. Dennis MorrowWebsite Content StrategyFor this paper I chose; Walt Disney, CVS Health and Comcast, as my three major organizations. Walt Disney is a huge corporation and ranks at one of top 50 largest USA companies as well as CVS Health and Comcast. All three’s websites seem very customer based as they are geared for customers and have many links on the main page to take people where ever they need or want to go. Target MarketWalt Disney’s target market is not very clear on their company website. Nevertheless, if you go to the Disneyland website it is marketing towards family. In particular, family with little kids. Although, a few years back the targeted the older population but there is very little evidence of it left. (The Walt Disney Company, 2015)CVS Health’s target market the older population more than any other however, the site seems to target anyone with health concerns or health issues. Along with people and families needing pharmacy merchandise. (, 2015)Comcast’s target market seems to be customers that want internet and mobility of use of watching television. They seem to focus on families as well. (, 2015)ObjectiveAll three companies I have chosen seem to be focused on selling their services to the public. Walt Disney’s objective is to sell the service of having fun. (The Walt Disney Company, 2015) CVS Health’s objective is to sell prescriptions and other general pharmacy items along with seasonal items as well. (, 2015) While, Comcast’s objective is to promote the internet and the mobility of having Comcast as your provider to the service. (, 2015)Primary MessageOnce more, all three companies seem to want their customers to buy into their services. Disney pushes offer a great service to all ages as you are never too old to have fun. (The Walt Disney Company, 2015) All three want their customers to be number one and happy.Website EffectivenessAll three companies, I chose, websites are very effective; there are links on the main page that allows you to plot a course in any direction. They are easy to navigate and have in mind the customer for their design ease. The sites are well labeled and not too much going on or “noise”.Identify the who, why, what, when, where, style, approach, and tone of the communicationThe “who” is the target market; the “why” is the website effectiveness; is the “what” primary message; the “when” and “where” the sites themselves and the fact it is always are open. I feel the tone of all three sites are user friendly and very simple to navigate; the approach is very sociable manner and with ease; while the style is very professional without getting to boggled by technicalities that might defer customers from looking around. ConclusionThe companies I chose are very large and have many different parts to their main company. For example, CVS Health is not only a pharmacy; they are a mail order pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, a convenience or retail store and have clinics as well. Each of the other two are complex as such too; however their websites do not reflect that complexness. The sites are inviting and fairly easy to navigate.. (2015).
