WINNERS"If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom."?~ Deuteronomy 28:13 NLTGentle reminder...you're on the winning team.As believers we are the winners in life. Our destination is sealed with a promise the world cannot revoke. This is an obvious but often forgot reality in the body of Christ.Lately I have been witnessing Christians conform to the ways of the world in an attempt to reach the lost. Partnering with secular artists, entertainers, or public figures in an attempt to "reach the masses".Never forget...the Word of God is strong and effective all by its self. You don't have to conform to the world to reach the lost, you just have to be willing to give them the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit do its work.Would a champion partner with his defeated foe to gain more fans? Does the president of of the United States have to beg to sit down and eat with citizens? Then why as Christians do some feel the need to be accepted by (or look like) the world in order to teach the gospel? This is not a call to spiritual arrogance, but a petition to walk in the victory of Christ and humility. You are the head and not the tail.Above and not beneath. You are the victor, never the victim. And you can do ALL things through Christ Jesus alone. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that truth and living a life that shows it.Stay humble so the love of Christ can be felt by all, but never resort to needing the world and its ways to draw all men to the cross. That's the job of the Word of God.Let's pray..."Father forgive me for every time I tried to give the Word of God crutches. Today I am reminded it stands on its own. I have full confidence in the healing and redeeming power of the Word. Help me to remain confident in the power of the Word to never conform to the ways of the world to spread the gospel. The change the world needs can only come from a true relationship with Jesus Christ. My mission is to introduce them to my Savior by giving them the Word. Which is exactly what I will do. In Jesus name, Amen" ................
