A Celebration of the 1960’s Icon

With beautiful arrangements of Cilla’s greatest hits, songs include: It’s For You, Goin’ Out of My Head, Alfie, Step Inside Love, Sing A Rainbow, Anyone Who Had A Heart, Yesterday and You're My World.

Written and Performed by Danielle O’Malley. Musical Direction by Mark Jones with a line up of piano, bass, and percussion.

MARKETING SUMMARY

Danielle is a seasoned theatre performer and plays the part of Cilla Black in costume, telling Cilla's stories in Cilla's voice! She channels this 60s icon with uncanny accuracy live onstage with 3 of Melbourne's finest musicians.

You’re My World is ideal for audiences aged 40 years and up. We have created two versions of the show:

1.   A gentle morning/afternoon show for an older audience

60 - 80 yo.)

2.   A slightly more dynamic evening show which includes Cilla’s rock repertoire as well as the classic ballads. (40 - 70 yo.).

The evening show is ideally performed with 3 musicians and the morning/afternoon show works best with 2 musicians .

"...from the first bell-like note to the last thunderous applause she held us in her delicate hand as easily as Cilla might."

"...acclaimed singer Danielle O'Malley creates a truly remarkable evocation of the pop idol". The Weekend Notes (Perth)

"...O’Malley is an excellent Cilla, looking and sounding, very like the British songstress, also nailing a gorgeous Liverpudlian accent, and working comfortably with her band". Stage Whispers

"With a wonderful Liverpudlian patter she was Cilla Black!"  Perth Cafe Culture:

"I hadn't heard of Cilla before seeing the show, but I became a fan by the end of it".  Out In Perth:

COLLEAGUE RECOMMENDATIONS

Ken Cameron – Riverlinks Venues – Shepparton

We were delighted with Danielle O’Malley’s performance as Cilla Black in her show “You’re My World”. Danielle succeeded in making these well-known songs her own whilst retaining the spirit, humour (and accent) of Cilla Black. Our audience response was very positive. Several people told me they didn’t know some of the less well known songs but had enjoyed them as they were sung so nicely.

This show was also an easy show to sell; it had one of the highest audiences this year for our matinee series. Melissa is a great producer to deal with; prompt in her replies and providing information which is what we all like as venue managers.

Hal Martin - Colac Performing Arts Centre

Danielle and Mark’s performance was warm, highly professional and very successful in engaging our audience.  Danielle has a fantastic voice and had the Liverpool accent down pat!  Her stories about Cilla Black added depth to a very entertaining show.
