DJA TEMPLATE SPECIFICATIONS

Below is a list of items that DJA will need for the development of all template sites/applications and some commonly asked questions that you may find helpful. As we add more templates, layouts, and modules, each specific add‐on item will have its own requirements, however all items mentioned below are required for each project.

Content

• Promotion Name

• Copy for each individual page to be used in the sweeps: (e.g. Landing, Registration, Thank You, Already Entered, Not Eligible, Coming Soon, Over, Winners… naturally, this will vary depending on individual project needs)

o There is not a hard restriction on the length of the copy you provide, as the page height increases as we add more copy. However, please take into account length when considering your ideal look of how tall the form and pages will be.

▪ If no Coming Soon page copy is provided, a default one will be provided.

▪ Over copy should be provided and approved with the rest of the site content.

• List of fields to capture on registration form, whether or not they are required, and validation requirements for any non‐standard fields , if applicable. (rewards card number, account number, etc…)

Social

• Share copy, if there are any social shares present.

o Keep in mind Twitter’s 140 character limit. URLs in Tweets always count as 23 characters, regardless of url length.

• 1200x630 image to use for shares.

• Locations to use for social media links built into the template.

• If Facebook App:

o 111px x 74px Page Tab Image if app is to be on a page tab.

o 1024px x 1024px App icon (NOTE: please keep imagery simple, as this will be scaled down to smaller sizes)

o 1200px x 630px Share Image

o Desired Page Tab Name, which is displayed to right of tab image on a page. (No character limit, but best practice is to keep it short)

o Desired “apps.” URL (ex: apps.XXXXXXXXX, 32 Character limit, a‐z only, all lowercase)

• OG/TC Data:

o There is no surefire way to prevent a user from sharing a url so this should be provided even if there are no other shares present on the site.

▪ Site Title (70 Character Max)

▪ Site Description (200 Character Max)

▪ Site Image (1200px wide x 630px high)

Styling

• Client brand standards document including design specifications for web based media

o If no other instructions are provided, this is what will be used to color the site.

▪ This is the only information IT will be taking from the document.

o If custom fonts are needed, these must be provided in a windows format (.otf or .ttf) to be converted for web use.

Imagery/Media

• Banner

o Desktop – 1500x380

▪ The area is designed to fit the full width of the browser window. Height is not fixed, but keep in mind that the banner will scale proportionally and the position of the content below the banner will change as it resizes.

▪ The banner can be adjusted to fade into a solid color if necessary

• DJA can make this adjustment.

o Mobile – 750x350

• Media Objects

o Items such as a slider, user uploaded image gallery, or video player can be added into any layout.

▪ It is important to consider the width of the items in that media object when choosing a layout.

o If a video is to be used, please provide either one of the following items:

▪ Link to video on external content hosting/streaming service (youtube, vimeo, etc…)

▪ Raw video file, no greater than 200MB in size, and must be in the following file formats: .webm, .mp4, .ogg

• DJA can convert video files to the necessary formats if needed.

• Video hosting may incur extra costs.

o If users will be able to upload photos, please keep in mind that various sources will provide images of different dimensions.

▪ A cropping tool can be added to enforce an aspect ratio for user uploaded photos, but this will increase development time and is only needed if a gallery with like-sized user uploaded images is present.
