Be part of our 2020 online event!Tweed Shire Council's Sustainable Living Home Expo is all about promoting affordable, healthy, environmentally-friendly homes and living in the Tweed. For businesses, community organisations and not-for-profit groups that align with the sustainability theme, this event provides a unique opportunity to share information and expertise and to promote your products and services to an engaged audience of local residents and home owners. ?The 2020 event will be hosted online, and will involve:LIVE ONLINE INTERACTIVE WEBINARS between 11am – 2pm on Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 December, featuring special guests focusing on climate change in the Tweed and opportunities to reduce carbon emissions, encouraging participants to pledge and take sustainability-related actions. Post-event recordings will be hosted on Council’s YouTube channel. PLEDGE and TAKE ACTION to reduce 100 tonnes CO2-e emissions. Participants that pledge actions will go in the draw for fantastic prizes like free solar, Tweed holiday park vouchers, river eco cruises and more. VIRTUAL SUSTAINABLE LIVING MARKETPLACE: An interactive PDF, hosted on the Home Expo webpage, featuring logos and links to relevant local (Tweed and surrounding LGAs) businesses, including links to video sales pitches if businesses have existing or want to shoot/host their own video content. Includes a GET INVOLVED section of logos and links to relevant local community groups and not for profit organisations.AT YOUR LEISURE: an interactive PDF with hyperlinks to recommended websites, pre-recorded video content, blogs etc. If your business, community organisations and not-for-profit groups align with the sustainability theme and wish to be promoted via the virtual marketplace, participation is free of charge.
