The show, entitled ‘Self-Help Yourself Famous’ will premiere at the Underbelly Bristo Square for the month of August.Loosely-based on their own ups and downs in the ever-changing music-business, and just as absurd, the boys will share their first-hand knowledge and reflect upon the cost of reaching for the stars! There are songs, laughterisms and inappropriate uses of space-hoppers. Are you prepared to find out if you can make it in the Fame Game??Felix & The Scootermen, aka Felix Scoot & Lee Delamere, grant the audience Access All Areas with their own self-help masterclass on how to become as famous as they are! They’ll teach you how to write the hits and play the fame game ... and win! ... BIG!!? That is until the wheels begin to fall off the seminar as surreal flights of fancy and old wounds get the better of the two entrenched friends. One push too many and the dark truth behind their relationship comes spilling out. Things will never be the same again. Unless one of them has discovered the secrets of mind-control...Anyone who’s been to a Hoosiers gig, followed their exploits on-line, heard their guest-hosting on BBC Radio 1, & 2, seen Irwin on Never Mind The Buzzcocks (twice, no biggie) or maybe just caught their duet with Ricky Gervais for a Radio 1 Christmas party will know that this transition to a more theatrical stage is a natural move. This is despite Alan’s never having actually performed onstage away from a drum-kit since Easthampstead Park’s 1994 stage version of Pirates of Penzance…the show folded after three performances. The Hoosiers debut album, “The Trick to Life” went multi-platinum and singles such as “Worried About Ray” (which was Brit Award nominated) and “Goodbye Mr. A” were top five hit singles. The band also won Best Newcomer at Global Radio Awards. The band are still furiously recording new material and continue to tour the UK regularly.
