AP Statistics Comparing Proportions Project

Your group (groups of 2) must come up with an activity that:

• Involves 2 proportions or means that you would like to compare

• Has data that can be created by experiment or survey or can be found through internet research

• Must be cleared by me before you begin the presentation

The power point needs to include:

• Slide 1: Title and names

• Slide 2: Give your essential question and how you collected data (5pts)

• Slide 3: Discuss the conditions and assumptions associated with your research (10pts)

• Slide 4: Write your hypothesis and run the appropriate test (10pts)

• Slide 5: Make a conclusion based on your test (10pts)

• Slide 6: Create a confidence interval comparing your proportions (10pts)

• Slide 7: Discuss what the confidence interval tells you, in the context of the question (10pts)

• Slide 8: Discuss how reliable your results are in reality (5pts)

NOTES:

• Be sure all descriptions are in full sentences, with units.

• Be sure to show all work as you would with an AP test questions, so if you use a calculator to do the tests and intervals, label your work appropriately

• Share with Mr. Leonhardt, pleonhardt@ before midnight Friday, April 14th.
