BACKGROUND INFORMATION OF CONTACT TRACING AND PEP-SDR MDT Plus

Contact tracing is a routine activity initiated from the national leprosy program unit and carried out by the public health nurses at the peripheral level every year

It is an activity which focuses on the screening of every household contacts of every new leprosy case

In 2018, the new preventive strategy (PEP ? SDR MDT Plus) was first introduced and integrated with contact tracing activity after being endorsed by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services
