Not all vehicles have what it takes to become Mitsubishi Certified Pre-Owned. Only the best Mitsubishi models that are less than five years old, with fewer than 60,000 miles are eligible for certification. From there, they are thoroughly reconditioned using our 123 point inspection performed by a Certified Mitsubishi Technician.
The following models are excluded from Mitsubishi's Certified Pre-Owned program: i-MiEV, Lancer Evolution, Lancer Ralliart, Lancer Sportback Ralliart, and Raider.

123-Point Inspection
Before any vehicle can be called a Mitsubishi Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle it must pass a rigorous 123-point inspection and reconditioning process performed by a Certified Mitsubishi Technician of a CPO enrolled dealer, in accordance with Mitsubishis Certified Pre-Owned Program rules. This process is designed to test every aspect of the vehicle to ensure that it meets our CPO standards. Not every vehicle will pass.
Certified Pre-Owned Warranty When you buy a Mitsubishi Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, you receive an extra level of protection through our 10 year/100,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty. This warranty will cover the powertrain components listed (items listed in bold), for a total of 10 years, or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. This warranty starts on the original in-service date.

The 10/100 Powertrain Limited Warranty is only one part of the picture, since every CPO eligible Mitsubishi model originally came with a New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 5 years/60,000 miles and an Anti-Corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty of 7 years/100,000 miles. The 10/100 Powertrain Limited Warranty coverage is transferable. Subsequent owners of the CPO vehicle need to take the vehicle (within 6 months of taking ownership) to the Service Department of any U.S. Authorized Mitsubishi Dealership and pay a transfer fee of $40 upon presentation of proof of ownership of the vehicle. The balance of this warranty will then be transferred to the new owner. All other remaining coverage terms are automatically transferable to subsequent owners.
