ONE MINUTE NEWS / CURRENT EVENTS

NEWSPAPER / EVENING NEWS / MAGAZINE / INTERNET ARTICLES

Everyday except Thursdays and Fridays cadets will be able to report current news stories to their class. Each cadet will be required to turn in and present six current event articles each grading period. The following information must be included in the written report.

1. Title of Article

2. Source of Article (Name of newspaper, magazine or website – attach written article to your report. If story is from the evening news, what station / network.)

3. Date of Article (Must be within that week.)

4. Author of Article

5. Summary of Article or News Story (Include Who, What, Where, When and Why)

6. Relevancy of Article to JROTC and Society

May we remind YOU!!!!

1. Reports must be written before reporting to class

2. News must be CURRENT - less than one week old (month for magazine)

3. NO SPORTS OR CELEBRITY NEWS!

4. Reports must be presented orally to the class to get credit.

5. You will be required to point out WHERE the story happened on a map. (Look before class starts if you are not sure of the location on the map.)

6. Include your name, class period and date on your report.
