Extra Credit: Cause & Effects of History

Objective: The student will relate the history of the region being studied to the events of today.

Assignment:

1. Go online to a world news site and find FOUR articles that relate to the region that is being studied. (Article must have been written in the past 5 years)

2. Summarize the article and include points and vocabulary from the Chapters that have been read or areas that have been studied. (This includes past Chapters)

3. Bring to class the article and summary, this will give you a free 100 for a test grade in the grade book if done correctly.

REMEMBER: Articles must relate to the regions we are studying and you must be able to include vocabulary, topics and other big picture ideas from the readings as well show a relationship with the article to what is being studied in class.

8. Something you find interesting (ex: music, art, drama, clothing, etc.)
