Lord of the Flies Media Product and Presentation

Lord of the Flies Media Product and Presentation

Based on your knowledge of Lord of the Flies, create a presentation showcasing part of the novel as an Allegory, or through Archetypes. Complete the following:

1) Research: use books and websites to explore how your chosen part of the novel either relates closely to a specific historical event as an allegory, or how it relates closely to two texts (books, magazines, television shows or movies) based on archetypal characters. You must properly cite all sources consulted on a works cited page and with parenthetical citations. You must use at least THREE sources for this project. At least one must be a book (other than the novel).

2) Write: Write the allegorical or archetypal connections you find into a PowerPoint slideshow. Use point proof comment writing.

3) Showcase: Bring your information to life! Use a skit, game, paper mache, original video, or other creation (approved by teacher) to showcase your information.

4) Present: Use your slide show and media creation as the basis for a presentation to the class. Explain your slide show, explain and demonstrate your creation and, of course, make eye contact and involve the audience!

DUE: Presentations are Friday, November 15
