IN APPRECIATION TO CUD T. BAIRD, III, FOR SERVICES RENDERED TO BEAUFORT COUNTY

WIIEREAS, Col Baird has dedicated many hours over the past years in service to the citizens of Beaufort County;

WHEREAS, on his own initiative , he has constantly noticed a need and c r eated and followed through on many projects;

WHEREAS, he provided valuable staff support in creating the Beaufort

County Emergency Medical Services Department;

\ffiEREAS, he was instrumental in organizing Beaufort County ' s scrap metal project whereby more than 1,000 junk cars were collected and removed from the County improving its beauty as well as generating revenue;

WHEREAS , he has played a vital role in improving the quality of

other County services including aiding in the acquisition of equipment grants

for County fire departments, assisting in acq uiring funds for the Coastal

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that on this 28th day of March 1977, that the County Counci l of Beaufort County extends to Cud T . Baird its sincere thanks and appreciation for his dedicated service .
