left0Viewing and Printing your Form 1098-TYou will have access to view and print your 1098-T tax document through the Penn State Student Account Dashboard. In addition, you can opt-in to only receive the Form 1098- T electronically.Note: Effective year 2019, Penn State issues the Form 1098-T for all students, including international students who may or may not be eligible to receive an education tax benefit, or who may not file taxes in the United States.Navigating to View and Printing your 1098-TFrom the Student Home Base, select the My Finances button.Figure 1: Student Home Base PageOn the My Account Page, select the Manage My Account/Make a Payment button.Figure 2: Student Home Base - My Account Page The Penn State Student Account Dashboard appears. The “Tax Forms” section will display the Form 1098-T[YEAR] for the current and previous years. Select View to open a Form 1098-T on a separate window. Select Save to download a PDF copy of the Form 1098-T to your computer.Note: Students and the Authorized Payers for which the student has granted 1098-T access, will receive an email when the form is available in the Student Account Dashboard.Figure 3: Student Account Dashboard – Tax Forms – View and SaveThe Form 1098-T will display in your computer’s PDF viewer after you select View or Print. Click on the print icon to use the PDF viewer’s print functionality to print your form. To opt-in to only receive the Form 1098- T electronically, select Sign up under the Sign up for paperless delivery! message. Figure 5: Student Account Dashboard – Tax Forms – Electronic Delivery Sign upThe Paperless Delivery window opens and displays information on signing up for paperless delivery of your 1098-T tax forms. Scroll down the page to read the 1098-T terms and conditions.Figure 6: Student Account Dashboard – Tax Forms – Paperless Delivery Once you have read and fully understand the terms and conditions of the electronic delivery of the Form 1098-T, check “I consent to receiving my 1098T electronically, and click Complete. Note: If you opt-in, a paper 1098-T form will not be mailed to you. You have the option to switch back to receiving the paper form in the mail.Figure 7: Student Account Dashboard – Tax Forms – Consent to Receiving Form 1098-T Electronically The Tax Forms section of the Student Account Dashboard will display the Form 1098-T[YEAR] for the current and previous years. If you wish to switch back to receiving a paper form in the mail, click on the Resume paper delivery box.
