Independent Reading:
Reading Homework: As an on-going assignment, the student will read every week during the semester - something of his/her own choosing. He/she may pick a chapter book and read a little each night or may select something new each time. Examples of reading choices are: books, magazines, newspapers, comic books, graphic novels, etc. Read for at least 15 minutes each night, Monday through Thursday – you may read longer if you choose! Then journal what you have read. A journal page of the week’s reading is due every Friday.
The teacher reserves the right to change or adjust the syllabus as necessary to meet the needs, abilities, and interests of the students.
