The two remaining gensets are Mirrlees Nationale KV16 Majors. These are 16 Cylinder engines in vee formation. One was installed in 1971 and one was installed in 1972. These engines are running at 500 RPM with a generating Output of 5800 kva. The serial numbers of these are 64601 and 65141 . The 1971 unit was one of the first ever KV 16 produced. These engines are also fitted with Brown Boveri turbos type VTR 400.

The first four units were placed in a building in 1964 and were run on and off. There main use providing power backto the National Grid System . In 1971 the power station was found to be too small and the building was extended to take in the first 16KV. Again in 1972 the plant was extended to house a second 16KV unit. The plant was stopped and shutdown in 1983. In 2001 the plant was re-started and it estimated that a figure around 2 million sterling was actually spent overhauling the package before the re-start.

In the four smaller units engine number 4 has done the last work . In the 2 larger units engine 2 is said to have done approx 2000 hours since its rebuild. The whole plant was stopped again in 2004 .
