CONCLUSION

The august presence of the academic gala and the administrators have made this occasion not only magnificent but also joyous and solemn. I once again congratulate the pupils who graduated ‘magna cum laude’. Due to their grueling efforts, our JNT University has been lifted to the high altitude of progress and greatness.

I feel honored and privileged to extend my gratitude to His Excellency, the Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Sri E.S.L.Narasimhan garu, who has been constantly supporting and encouraging us in achieving the unlimited progress of the university.

I wish to express my deep sense of thanks to the distinguished Chief Guest and recipient of Honoris Causa, Sri P. Kunhi Krishnan, Director of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Sriharikota, for gracing the occasion and for his inspiring and motivational address which has immensely influenced the young minds.

I profusely thank the members of Executive Council, University Officials, Directors, Principals of Constituent Colleges and affiliated colleges, Teaching and Non-teaching staff, students, Print and Electronic media and the distinguished assemblage in this auditorium for their august presence and for rendering their untiring support in making this event a grand success.

Abdul Kalam, former President of India, once said, “If India is to become developed by 2020, it will do so only by riding on the shoulders of the young.” If young are well educated, they can do miracles in our country. It is the education and enlightenment that lifts a nation to the greatness. We are very fortunate in having experienced teachers and researchers under whose aegis the present youth are being trained and enlightened in various aspects like innovations, creativity etc.

Talking on creativity, Kalam opined that beautiful minds are the sources of creativity. To him,

“Learning gives creativity,

Creativity leads to thinking

Thinking provides knowledge

Knowledge makes you great.”

I am really pleased to congratulate the recipients of various degrees and Gold medals, who have strived hard to achieve these laurels and on whose faces I could see enormous happiness and a sigh of relief. Their persistent efforts towards excellence and perfection made this day theirs. I hope these students will fetch a tangible distinction to this university with their investment in knowledge.

Yesterday’s education no longer suffices today. Therefore one should keep pace with the advancing frontiers of knowledge. Sheer perseverance and creativity, discipline, determination and dedication lead to success and greatness. It is apt to quote Thomas Alva Edison,“ Genius is 1 % inspiration, and 99 % perspiration.” So success depends on hard work rather than on genius and luck.

Our education is able to provide solutions to all problems and promotes awareness on several social issues. We are part and parcel of the turn of the year crisis, ie., demonetization. As citizens of our country, the herculean task ahead of us is to create awareness on cashless transactions, among the uneducated and ignorant people. I hope you meet these challenges and make India a developed nation.

I wish each and everyone a very bright future and hope you make each day your masterpiece.

“Good, better, best. Never let it rest.

Till your good is better and your better is best.”

I once again thank all of you for your cooperation and for lending me your ears.
