One of our third graders wanted to know if he could bring hamsters in the estimation jar. I told him I would ask the FROG Friend Headquarters to see what their thoughts were on this. On Monday, we heard back from FROG Friend Headquarters. Unfortunately, we can not have hamsters in an estimation jar. BUT…the bright side…FROG Friend Headquarters sent us a hamster for our classroom!! How fun!! (Actually, Ashlee was super sweet to make all this fun happen for our classroom – we love Digs – the hamster - and we love you, Ashlee!!) Our week has been packed full – the first Reading test went well, the kids are getting the hang of multiplication and everyone did well on their Shurley test! Hope you have a fantastic weekend!! Coming Up and Reminders…Potato Head Party: The 3rd graders have earned all the pieces to Mr. Potato Head!! They voted to have an electronics/ice cream sundae party!! On Thursday, September 24th your child may bring their Switch, ipad, Atari (just kidding), etc. and a topping to share. I would suggest the topping be store bought and easy to serve – I will top the sundaes, so everything stays clean and we don’t share germs. We will have vanilla and chocolate ice cream.
