Rest in Peace...A s a parish family, we send our prayers and sympathy to the families of Patricia A. Michael and Ellenita A. K ern who recently passed away. May the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace. Amen.

SACRAMENTS

Christ instituted the Sacraments of the New Law. There are seven: Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Eucharist, Penance, Anointing

of the Sick, Holy Orders & Matrimony. The 7 Sacraments touch all the stages and all the important moments of Christian life: They give birth and increase, healing and mission to the

Christian's life of faith. There is thus a certain resemblance between the stages of natural life and the stages of the spiritual life. CCC, 1210

Prayer for an End to Infanticide

Lighthouse Catholic Media Kiosk

The U.S. Senate recently failed to pass the BornAlive Abortion Survivors Protection Act-- legislation that prohibits infanticide by ensuring that a child who is born alive following an attempted abortion would receive the same degree of care to preserve her or his life and health as would be given to any other child born alive at the same gestational age. Please join us in prayer for an end to infanticide:

"Jesus, Lord of Life, transform the hearts of all elected leaders to recognize that infanticide is wrong and must not

be tolerated. Open hearts and minds to recognize and defend the precious gift of every human life."

The Light is On for You!

The Church encourages us to make confession a regular part of our spiritual life, especially during the holy season of Lent, as we reflect on our baptism and repentance. Again this year, parishes are participating in a Lenten initiative called The Light is on for Y ou. Every Monday evening during the Lenten season, beginning March 11th and continuing through the last full week of Lent, April 8th, confessions will be heard in every parish from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm so that Catholics can come to or return to this incredible source of God's grace, mercy and healing.

FORMED is a wonderful way to learn more about and grow in your Catholic faith!

Taize Prayer Around the Cross at St. Nicholas Church W-B Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 4:00pm

This form of prayer is a meditative style of communal prayer. Sung repetitive refrains create a gentle rhythm. The beauty of your voices united in song becomes a doorway to reflection and meditation. This particular prayer will focus on the Passion of Christ, with time to venerate the cross. Rob Yenkowski, the music director at King's College and the Cantores Christi Regis choir will be our minsters of music for this prayer. A freewill offering will be taken up at the end of the service. For more information, call the rectory at 570-823-7736.
