FLAXMANS - Trunch History

FLAXMANS

Flaxman is an old name, probably originally related to working with flax for linen and /or linseed. It is a very common name in this area which makes research quite difficult. However the first Flaxman that I have found in the Trunch records was in 1700 when Richard Flaxman’s servant, Philip Carter, died in Trunch, but was buried in Roughton. Robert & William in Roughton in 1700s and had links to Trunch - NRO

Was a marriage of John Flaxman to Ann Morgin in 1699 in Aylmerton
