Step 1:

Login to the router with the following IP Address:

Note the Firmware Version in the top right corner. It should not be the same as the one shown [2.39.2].

Step 2:

Click on the Administration tab followed by clicking the Firmware Upgrade tab. Browse to the firmware file downloaded from the website; then click the upgrade button. This will begin the upgrade progress.

Step 3:

After the upgrade is complete log back into the router with the address. The password should go back to the factory default of (Username: admin Password: admin) all lower case. Once logged in, notice the new firmware version at the top right portion of the screen.

3. Click the Save Settings link at the bottom of the screen to save.

Step 4:

Click the Wireless | Basic Wireless Settings sub tab and set the following fields.

Wireless Network Mode: Mixed

Wireless Network Name (SSID): matscanner

Wireless Channel: 6 – 2.437 GHz

Wireless SSID Broadcast: Enabled

Click Save Settings link at bottom of page to save.

Step 5:

Click the Wireless | Wireless Security sub tab.

Security Mode: WPA Pre-Shared Key

WPA Algorithms: TKIP

WPA Shared Key: 1qaz9ijn!

Key Renewal Timeout 900 seconds

Step 6:

Click on the Administration | Config Management tab then click Download Router Configuration File button. Save this file somewhere safe in the event the router looses its settings to power failure or future firmware upgrades.

To restore the settings, simply click browse to find the configuration file, then click Load.

Step 6:

Now, reset the administration password to the router by clicking Administration | Management.

Step 7: (Optional)

Once you know the router is working properly you can configure MAC filtering. The preferred method is to click Select MAC Address From Networked Computers. Systematically turn off each device and click the refresh button. This will allow you to select each device’s MAC address and Permit access to it. It is also recommended that you note the Serial Number of each gun the MAC address is associated with.
