[Pages:3]ENADO VIDEO INTEGRATION GUIDE

Introduction

To enable video feedback to the Enado User Interface, the video must be encoded into a compatible web stream. There are many formats of web video but Enado requires Motion JPEG snapshots (MJPEG or MJPG).

Many brands of CCTV DVR & IP Camera's natively support this format for streaming images to the network. Please check with your manufacturer if your system is compatible with this format.

Axis Encoder Configuration

Video sources with composite video outputs can be converted to IP streams using the Axis video encoders. WyreStorm recommends the Axis M70 series; a comparison of the three models available in this range is shown below.

Once installed, your AXIS M7014/M7010 is accessible on your local network. To access the video encoder web UI type the encoders IP address into a web browser.

For new systems the default Username & Password settings are: Username: root Password: admin Once the Axis configuration home page opens select "Basic Setup" from the left hand menu and then select "Users".

At the bottom of the User panel select Enable Anonymous Viewer Login as shown in the image below.

The Axis is automatically configured to display an MJPEG feed that is compatible with Enado however if you wish to reduce the bandwidth used by the video stream this setting can be found in the "Video" menu under the "Video Stream" pages "MJPEG" tab. To test that the video feed will be accessible by Enado you can type the following links into your browsers address bar

Enado Configuration

To enable the display of video within the Enado user interface there are two main steps. 1. Defining a video server 2. Adding a video window to an activity

1. Defining a video server to the Enado controller

In the Enado Configuration UI navigate to the "Tools" menu and select "Video Servers...". Please note that you will need to open a project for this option to be accessible.

The "Define Video Servers" window will open. Pressing "Scan" will automatically discover the axis unit on your network or if it is not found you can manually enter the IP address and select either a single or quad encoder.

For either method press "+ Add" so that the device is seen by Enado.

Attention: For Axis M7016 input encoders please select "Axis Single" and enter the whole address of the video feed for each input.

2. Adding a video window to an activity

In the activity page that you wish to display video feedback, navigate to the "Insert" menu and select "Video Element...".

A video feedback window will be inserted at coordinates 0 0.

Pressing on the Video window will display the preferences pane ? in the pane, press "Source". The following window will appear where you may select the appropriate source to display.

Once a source is highlighted Press "OK".

You will be returned to the activity page where the video window will update with a static shot from the video feed. The video feed will be full motion in the user interface but is frozen in the configuration UI.

The video window can be moved by pressing on the window and editing the "Coords" X & Y values. Its size can be changed by editing the "Width" value. Please note that the aspect ratio of the window is fixed.

You can now publish your project to test the full motion video feedback from the control device.
