Max smiles and nods.
CONNOR YORK, Max’s trusted accountant, a seventy year old, pristine, and healthy man nods. He speaks in a heavy British accent.
CONNOR
Yes, when you consider the cost,
you have to ask, is it worth it?
Suddenly two shells explode near the bow of the craft.
They all duck.
MAX
Connor hit the gas.
Connor rolls his eyes and looks at him as he makes a mock effort to push the gas leveler that is already maxed out.
Max goes into a chest at the side of the boat and pulls out a Browning Automatic already loaded and he starts firing at the Nazi ship. Max looks at Winston.
MAX
(continuing)
Winston, shoot the ship.
Wayne smiles and gets into the chest and pulls out a multi-shot futuristic grenade launcher. Wayne starts popping off rounds at the approaching Nazi ship.
The ship fires back as Winston’s rounds explode on their deck then abruptly the Nazi ship is completely blown out of the water.
Winston appears surprised then smiles and blows across the barrel of his weapon.

The face of every person working in the laboratory and the factory is grime. It is quiet.
CLOSE ON - Each person in the laboratory wears an "EYES ONLY" top-secret nametag with a thumb and forefinger print on it.
Across the laboratory two middle-aged well-starched men wearing dark wool suits walk quickly along a metal catwalk high above the laboratory floor.
From the laboratory first floor RUDOLPH OFFENHAUSEN'S rugged face looks up. He is a forty something handsome man with a normal build and a square jaw. Rudolph appears slightly nervous.
The two men continue walking with a military bearing directly toward Rudolph. They move down a flight of yellow metal stairs marked with caution signs and onto the facilities concrete floor.

People in the laboratory and factory begin to talk as the President's message comes to a close.
The two men in the wool suits walk swiftly past each person bearing down on Rudolph Offenhausen.
Rudolph begins to fidget with a small glass laboratory beaker trying to look busy. He glances around the facility and pauses.
The two men continue toward him at a steady pace.
Rudolph gazes ahead.
He glances toward a side emergency exit to the complex.
Rudolph then looks back down at his busy work.
The two mysterious men are still moving steadily closer. They continue to pass by more people that are busy at their workstations in the laboratory. It has become clear the men are after Offenhausen.
The two men turn toward Rudolph from an isle in the work place and walk directly toward him not far away.
Rudolph’s hand slips and drops the beaker he has been fumbling with when he glances at the men.
It shatters on the concrete floor.
The two men slow their pace slightly and continue to move toward Rudolph.
Rudolph panics he breaks and runs. Rudolph pushes a laboratory assistant out of the way and moves toward the side exit.
The two men in suits run after him through the large
pavilion. Two more technicians are knocked aside by Rudolph as the chase moves through the building.
Offenhausen runs over a metal platform and jumps to a landing while still running for the side door.
The men cross the metal platform after Rudolph.

JOHNNY
Gaa sorry, Rudolph.
Johnny bents over and picks-up a piece of paper that fell from Offenhausen's pocket.
He accidentally trips Offenhausen as he turns with the paper. Rudolph falls again while trying to get up.
The two men in suits jump from the platform to the landing and hurry toward Johnny and Rudolph.
Offenhausen scrambles to get up. He falls again on the slippery Kiwi.
Johnny pulls on Rudolph's arm to help him and puts him off balance. Rudolph trips and falls again. He scrambles to get up.
The two men in suits are quickly on their prey. They grab the fleeing Rudolph.
The men roughly throw him against the wall next to the doorway and handcuff him.
Offenhausen glares at Johnny.
Johnny shrugs and stares at Rudolph and the ordeal.
JOHNNY
Sorry, Rudolph.
Offenhausen looks at him.

OTTO GOLDPRIMAGE, a slightly over weight fifty something husky man with dark hair walks toward the crowd. He wears a short yellow tee-shirt, dark baggy dress pants and a wrinkled white lab coat with his "Top Secret" name tag pinned to its collar.
Otto steps beside Johnny and smiles. He pats him on the back.
OTTO
Good job, Westgate. Sloppy, but
good.
Johnny grins and nods.
OTTO

Let's eat, egghead.
Johnny nods.
JOHNNY

Otto and Johnny move through the cafeteria line looking at the food. They casually push their metal food trays along. Otto has his lab coat off, draped over his arm.
Johnny glances down at Otto's pants.
His baggy pants are hanging to low and his butt crack is showing.
Johnny laughs to himself.
JOHNNY
Otto, your crack is showing.
Otto doesn't turn around. He pulls up on his pants and speaks.
OTTO
Shoot no, you master liar.
Johnny quietly laughs to himself.
JOHNNY
All right, don't go crackers.
Otto smirks at Johnny.
OTTO
Good one, dumb ass.
Johnny and Otto begin to fill their trays from the serving line. Johnny picks up a small bowl of soup and one-half of a sandwich and puts it on his tray with a few crackers he has already picked up.
Otto smiles as he loads his tray with two full sandwiches, a large bowl of soup, assorted raw vegetables and a handful of cookies.
They walk to the nearest round cafeteria table near the front entrance and sit down arranging their food. The

CLOSE ON - A plaque: "IN LOVING MEMORY, THE EMPLOYEE FAMILY OF WESTGATE LABORATORIES."
Otto glances at Johnny.
OTTO
Westgate, what was that, hero stuff
all about?
Johnny looks at Otto and grins.
JOHNNY
Beats me. Those guys said I was.
So I rode it out. I didn't want
to embarrass’em.
Otto laughs.
Johnny smiles.
JOHNNY
Otto, I might get an award or some-
thing. I mean the guy was a spy.
Besides Helen would be proud.
Otto thinks.
OTTO
Heck yeah, feed that ego, big head
boy.
Hauser mops and works his way a little closer to Otto and Johnny. He stops next to the door leading into the cafeteria. Hauser is intent on hearing Johnny and Otto's conversation.
Max Temple, Johnny's uncle, briskly opens the cafeteria door.
The heavy door hits Hauser's mop bucket. Hauser just stares and acts as if nothing happened.

Max doesn't know he had hit Hauser and continues to walk inside.
Hauser looks around the Cafeteria.
No one noticed.
Hauser relaxes. He turns to start mopping again and still listens to Johnny and Otto.
HELEN CROWN, a very pretty eighteen year old brunette girl swiftly enters the Cafeteria. Not paying attention she bumps into Hauser’s mop bucket.
She turns to Bono.
HELEN
Excuse me, Mr. Hauser.
Hauser grunts. He moves to a new location away from the door and starts mopping again.
Helen looks at him for a moment and move on.
Max has walked to Otto and Johnny's table.
Otto and Johnny speak.
JOHNNY
Hello, Uncle Max.
Otto smiles mischievously.
OTTO
It’s Mr. Temple, the big cheese
checking on the little people?
Max smiles at his old friend.
MAX
Right, Otto. Johnny don't forget
school tonight.
Helen walks up.
HELEN

Helen walks out.
Johnny stares.
He watches her slender body move as she leaves. Helen glances back.
Max and Otto smile quietly looking at Johnny.
Max waves his hand in front of Johnny's face.
MAX
Johnny, school? Graduating from
college at seventeen doesn't mean
your I. Q. will get you educated.
Johnny appears a little put down.
JOHNNY
All right, Uncle Max.
Otto discretely smiles at Johnny as if it's an inside joke between them.
Max looks at him.
MAX
Otto, I know you have a lot of
research going on now, but I
need you to tutor, Johnny. Just
until he gets his P-H-D. Well,
I’ll just say thanks in advance.
Otto becomes grime.
OTTO
Ah, All right.
Max smiles and pats Otto on the back as he leaves. He turns back and gives a thumbs up as he goes.
Otto comments.

I got plans.
Otto advises him seriously.
OTTO
You gotta.
Johnny is determined.
JOHNNY
Otto, look what I found. Rudolph,
the spy dropped it.
Johnny pulls out a piece of crumpled parchment paper. He gently unfolds it and shows the paper to Otto.
Winston stops at their table. He adjusts his pocket protector.
WINSTON
Hi-de-ho guys, what’s cooking.
Otto and Johnny look at Winston.
OTTO
Hi Winston, what’s buzzin with you?
Winston smiles.
WINSTON

interesting experiments
John is interested.

You still on that secret deal?
Winston is proud.

OTTO
Well then. You got a secret?
Winston is nice and smiles.
WINSTON
Yep, Gotta secret. All right then,
see ya round. Like a donut.
Johnny and Otto smiles and Winston moves toward the laboratory.
JOHNNY
I like him, but he’s a little weird.
Otto nods in agreement.
OTTO
Yeah, good guy, but he’s kind of a
bohunk.
Hauser takes notice and moves a little closer next to the front door of the cafeteria again.
Otto takes the parchment paper in his hand and examines it thoroughly.
A view of the paper reveals a map leading to a cave beside the river near the city.
Otto looks close at the paper. He wants to get involved, but he remembers Max.
OTTO
Turn this over to the authorities.
Johnny has a strong come back.
JOHNNY
What if that spy has gold or a great
invention hidden.
Otto is interested.

Otto is thinking.
OTTO
Sorry Johnny, about your parents
I mean.
Johnny smiles.
JOHNNY
It’s all right. Uncle Max says
the Nazi’s won’t hurt them because
they want their knowledge.
Otto smiles.
OTTO
That’s right. They’ll be home soon
and kick your butt for going to
Nazi caves at night insteada night
school.
Johnny smiles.
JOHNNY
Thanks Otto.
Otto thinks for a second and stands. He grabs a sandwich and takes a bite on the way out of the cafeteria. He turns to Johnny.
OTTO
Come on, light wait. We’re burnin
day light.
Johnny gets up and goes with Otto.
Bono quickly turns his back and starts mopping hoping to remain anonymous.

Otto swings the cafeteria door wide open and bumps Hauser's shoulder.
Hauser slips slightly and grabs the metal wheeled mop bucket for balance. Bono splashes the mop water all over the floor. He slips again and finally stands straight.
Hauser stares angrily at Otto.
Otto doesn't know he hit Hauser and keeps walking with Johnny.
Hauser composes himself. He starts to follow Johnny and Otto.
Bono takes a sandwich from Otto's tray as he passes their table. He slows his pace and begins to walk behind Johnny and Otto at a safe distance.
EXT. WESTGATE LABORATORIES FOYER
Johnny and Otto walk away from the 40's style cafeteria and into the foyer of the large Westgate complex.
They walk past displays of projects and inventions toward a obscure doorway off the foyer hallway.
Johnny and Otto pass a glassed in display of a 1957 Ford Fairlane Five Hundred convertible and a 1955 Ford Thunderbird.
CLOSE ON – a sign on the display: "THE FUTURE", A JOINT VENTURE OF FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND WESTGATE LABORATORIES, DREAM CARS OF THE MILLENNIUM.
Hauser pauses beside a display of minor inventions and
intently watches Johnny and Otto. He takes a bite of his sandwich and continues to follow.
Otto and Johnny pass another display.
It's a glass-encased mannequin of a teenage boy wearing a modern tee-shirt and jeans sitting at desk looking at a crude computer. The computer flashes calculations and pictures across its scene routinely.

INT. LONG UNDERGROUND STONE PASSAGEWAY - NIGHT
Johnny and Otto go to a box on the wall. Johnny takes out two strange looking futuristic flashlights and gives one to Otto. Johnny turns a crank on the side of the light to charge it. He takes Otto’s light and cranks it then gives it back to Otto. They turn them on to light the way then walk down the stone walled passageway.
OTTO
This new brighter and better light
invention of yours should have a
wider beam.
Johnny holds his hand held light up a little.
Suddenly the beam gets wide and lights the entire tunnel with a blinding white light.
JOHNNY
What’d you think.
Otto fumbles with his own flashlight. Suddenly the light gets bright while he is looking into the lens.
Otto quickly turns away and rubs his eyes.
OTTO
Well, it could have been tinted.
I do have sensitive eyes.

Johnny stops in front of a large dusty metal door that has a huge ornate antique handle. Otto bumps into him from the flashlight blindness.
Johnny looks back at Otto.
Hauser watches from the distance behind them.
Johnny pushes the buttons on a crude panel with numbered buttons. An electric lock is heard unlocking and the door open. Johnny smiles.
JOHNNY
My secret lab. What’da think?
Otto looks at the crude number pad on the wall.
OTTO
I'm always impressed by rusty
doors in a dark tunnels.
Johnny moves inside.
JOHNNY
Come on, Otto. I'll get a few
pieces of equipment and we'll
go.
Otto nods and enters close behind Johnny.
A beautifully ornate and colorful lead glass domed sunroof dimly lights the large stone walled room.
The heavy door closes with a slam behind them. Otto jumps from the sound and his own tension.
Hauser moves to the massive door and tries to listen. He can't hear anything. Hauser quietly tries the door. It is shut solid. He looks around and walks on to the end of the long dark tunnel.
INT. JOHNNY WESTGATE PRIVATE LABORATORY
Johnny claps his hands and the lights come on in the laboratory.
The room is packed with on going projects. There are motorcycles and testing equipment on stands positioned around the room.

Otto looks over at a thick metal table.
It has a huge sealed glass cylinder sitting on it encased in a metal frame to hold it upright. The cylinder has a rubber tube coming from a value in the side of the glass close to the bottom. At the end of the tube there is a nozzle that opens and closes. Inside the cylinder there is a green colored liquid that bubbles from being stirred by a propeller in the bottom of the tank.
Otto curiously moves to the table and lifts the tube looking it over.
Johnny rushes to him and takes the tube in hand looking at him with a hand’s off attitude.
JOHNNY
Be careful.
Otto is a little startled.
Johnny takes a glass beaker and opens the value on the end of the hose pouring the green liquid into the container. He looks at Otto then drinks it down. He sets the beaker on the table while looking at Otto.
JOHNNY
(continuing)
Kool-aid. Want some?
Otto smiles.
OTTO
Dumb ass.
Johnny gets himself and Otto another drink.
Otto’s eyes scan the room.
He sees screens that resemble crude televisions and ancient computers sitting near the motorcycle workbench.
Another table holds a different display of science. A huge set of glass tubes with yellow fluid running through them sparking electrical charges.
Electrical testing equipment and many more items sit across the stone chamber.
Otto continues to look around at the laboratory devices.

Johnny smiles while standing beside a cut down low profile nineteen thirty-seven Ford, two door coupe.
It has wide tires, special custom black paint with a chrome Cobra head ready to strike blazoned on the grille. The black Westgate car also has oversized customized aluminum wheels and generally looks like a modern modified classic car.
JOHNNY
No, mind tricks.
(Johnny points at
his brain)
From here.
Otto is still looking around the laboratory as he tinkers with buttons and levers.
He focuses on a stand with thick lenses pointed at each other about two feet apart.
Otto looks at it very close. He glances behind it as he flips a switch. A whining sound is heard and an intense thin blue line of light appears between the lenses. Otto picks up a screwdriver from the table and starts to touch the bright light.
Johnny quickly turns to Otto.
JOHNNY
Don’t touch that light.
Otto Stops and looks at Johnny. Johnny steps beside him.
Johnny
(continuing)
It will cut you.
Otto glances at the blue light and then back to Johnny grinning.
OTTO
What is it a pocketknife? Maybe
a vegetable chopper.
Johnny smiles and takes Otto’s screwdriver. He passes it through the light. The screwdriver is cut in half.

It’s really a ray more than light,
or it may be a light. I guess I
could call it a gamma ray-light or
a laser something or the other?
Otto is impressed.
OTTO
Well figure it out. It could be
really big.
(he smiles)
Maybe a gamma ray butter knife.
Johnny grins and begins to put pieces of equipment in the trunk of his car. He closes the deck lid.
Otto stares at the unique car.
OTTO
Where did you get the car? I didn’t
even know you could drive.
Johnny laughs and opens the driver's side door.
JOHNNY
Yes, Winston and Connor taught me.
Otto looks at the roof of the Westgate car.
It has a modern type sunroof.
OTTO
Johnny, what is this metal door

Johnny looks at Otto.

OTTO
Boy, you spent a lot of money.
The interior is loaded with a police radio, an aircraft radio and other equipment styled in the fashion of the nineteen forties.
Johnny looks at the car as he talks.
JOHNNY
It’s an experimental project funded
by Ford Motor Company. They’re big
on this science stuff. I built it
last summer. Mostly from Westgate
Laboratory’s test parts. Max, will
flip when he sees it.
Otto is still staring.
OTTO
Yeah, flip you. Where did you get
those tires and those wheels, the
radio's? That radar? Man, this thing
is loaded.
Johnny is enthused.
JOHNNY
Otto. This is the car of the future,
today! It even has a radio and a
cold air unit for summer.
Johnny kneels. He touches the wheels and tires as a manner of displaying them.
JOHNNY

I put airplane tires on it. Adapted
aluminum aircraft wheels and buffed
them for appearance.
Otto stares as he looks over the unique car.

Otto shades his eyes from the light reflecting off the bright chrome on the multi-carburetored engine. He nods and stares.
OTTO
Right.
Johnny continues to spout information.
JOHNNY
It's a nineteen forty Lincoln
Zephyr engine, v-twelve with
over four hundred cubic inches
of smooth power.
Johnny shuts the hood.
Otto loves the car.
OTTO
I like it. It’s, it’s freakin
gorgeous.
Johnny is proud.
JOHNNY
We're driving it tonight. I put some
of that fire proof paint we've been
testing on it. Seventy-five coats.
Otto nods and stares.

JOHNNY
Naa, he knows I’m doing something. He
help’s me sometimes like he gave me
the new hydrogen fuel system in it.
Otto appears surprised.
OTTO
He did that? You guys put Formula-Z
in this car?
Johnny is amused.
JOHNNY
Yeah. It's only a synthetic.
Otto nods. He curiously pushes a lever slightly.
A long yellow electrical current blast down a very long and old cloth covered electrical cord.
Otto freezes. His eyes get wide watching the dancing current move across the cord.
Johnny quickly looks at what Otto has done.
The current has moved to a copper missile shaped cylinder sitting on wheels on the floor and charges it.
The copper cylinder has arms and tweezer-hands that begin to move and snap. It has a large thick oval of glass resembling an eye at the top of its body. The oval begins to flash a yellow light, on and off.
The sight of the snapping robot shakes Otto.
He continues to watch as the gyrating machine as it goes out of control.
JOHNNY

a robot. A project Max works on.

Johnny steps to the side and unplugs it.
The robot keeps going.
JOHNNY
Be calm, it has batteries. They’ll
run down in a minute.
The robot gets closer to Otto still snapping. Otto backs into a corner.
Johnny looks around the room.
He sees a beaker of water.
The robot is on Otto snapping at him while Otto tries to keep the machine back by kicking at it. The machine whirls and knocks Johnny to the side as he passes.
The robot turns back to Otto.
Otto moves from the corner but is trapped against the large laboratory work-table by the robot. He fights the snapping machine off with a tall Bunsen burner from the display of laboratory tools.
OTTO
Back off, metal head.
Johnny gets up and grabs the beaker of water. He pours it over the gyrating machine.
The robot sparks and fizzles and pinches at Otto as its last gasp. It stops cold and smokes.
Johnny goes to Otto.

Otto shrugs his shoulders.
OTTO
Me, I’m a chemist. Maybe I could
make some magic water.
Johnny gets back to business. He goes to the Westgate car and sits behind the steering wheel.
JOHNNY
Come on Otto. Spies are waiting.
Otto has an agreeing look. He glances around the laboratory and gets inside the car.
Johnny starts the powerful Westgate car. It rumbles as he drives it forward to a stark stone wall inside the laboratory.
INT. WESTGATE VEHICLE
Johnny gets a red rubber ball from the glove compartment. He puts his arm out the car window and throws the ball against the stone wall.
It hits an irregular shaped stone on the distant wall in front of the car.
A hidden door in the stone wall opens in front of the Westgate car.
Johnny looks over at Otto as he drives outside.
JOHNNY
We got five seconds to get out.
Johnny speeds forward. Otto puts on a crude seat belt that resembles seat belts used in airplanes.

Johnny smiles.
JOHNNY

the rubber ball thing.
The sleek Westgate car speeds away into the darkness down a laboratory complex road.
OTTO (O.S.)

EXT. WESTGATE LABORATORIES
The Westgate car rolls through the security gate of Westgate Laboratories.
A security guard waves.
JOHNNY
Hey, Charley.
Johnny and Otto pass by and onto the street.
EXT. CITY STREET
Hauser sits inside a 1939 red Chevrolet coupe. He is parked at the curb just a few blocks down from the main entrance to the laboratory. He discreetly looks out the driver’s side window when Johnny drives past.
Johnny and Otto don’t notice and casually move past Hauser's waiting vehicle.
He starts his car and turns around in the street to follow The Westgate vehicle.
EXT. DIRT ROAD NEXT TO THE ARKANSAS ROLLING RIVER
The Westgate custom car rolls down the rough dirt road slowly.
SUB-TITLE - types across the scene with the sound of a ticker tape machine: BROADWAY RIVER BRIDGE, CITY OF ARGENTA, ACROSS THE RIVER FROM LITTLE ROCK ARKANSAS.
The powerful Westgate car stops. Johnny and Otto get out shutting the car doors behind them. They look around the area.
Johnny looks at his crude map.
JOHNNY
This way, Otto.
Johnny and Otto move out toward a narrow rocky trail on the riverbank.
The small trees and tall grass cast eerie moonlit shadows across the water as Johnny and Otto move down the dark intimidating trail.
OTTO
Hey, you know that famous Indian
Trail of Tears went right along
this river bank. Such a waste of
human life.
Bono Hauser rolls his car to a stop nearby with his headlights off.
He watches the shadows of Johnny and Otto from his safe distance.
Hauser quietly gets out of his car and follows.
Otto and Johnny walk and stubble in the darkness through the tall grass and bushes. Otto passes gas.
Hauser abruptly stares ahead.
Johnny laughs to himself.
Otto tries to ignore his necessary, but bad manners.

Johnny and Otto move cautiously to the dark and very wide entrance of the riverside cavern.
Johnny puts his finger to his lips signaling Otto to be quiet.
Otto nods.
They cautiously move inside.
INT. CAVERN
Johnny and Otto whisper in the total darkness.
JOHNNY
Otto, have you got the light?
OTTO
Yes.
JOHNNY
Turn it on.

EXT. CAVERN ENTRANCE ON THE RIVER BANK
Hauser waits for them with a gun.
Johnny and Otto slide to a stop in front of Hauser.
JOHNNY
Bono Hauser!
Hauser smiles.
HAUSER
Johnny Westgate, Otto Goldprimage?
How absolutely stupid of you.
Johnny is concerned.
JOHNNY
What is this, Bono?
Otto chimes in.
OTTO
Yeah, Bono.
Hauser is amused.

this cave. However we did know both
of you could not resist the map. We
merely need your brain.
Otto speaks up. He overlaps Bono and two of his men as they walk on the scene and start to speak.
OTTO
You'll never get it.
Hauser smiles. He and the men speak inaudible German for a moment.
Hauser turns to Otto.
HAUSER
Not yours, young Westgate. But you
may speak to the S. S. in Berlin
about yours. They may need a toilet
builder.
Otto appears concerned. He looks at Johnny.
OTTO
Nazi's?
Hauser laughs.
HAUSER
How absolutely conscious of you,
Otto.
Johnny and Otto look at each other. Otto mouths the word Berlin to Johnny.
Hauser hears a boat motor and looks toward the deep rolling river.
The lights of a small boat moves toward the shore. The sound of a voice is heard nearby. It's Connor. He speaks out in a very British accent.
CONNOR (O.S.)

JOHNNY
Run Otto!
Johnny shoves Hauser again.
The three Nazi's fall back and scramble to recover to capture Johnny and Otto.
Otto is right behind Johnny.
Johnny and Otto rush past Connor as he exits his small motor boat.
Otto grabs Connor's dark blue overcoat as he passes him. He drags Connor along as they run to the Westgate car.
Hauser and his men have recovered and are chasing them. They crash through the underbrush making their own trail.
EXT. DIRT ROAD NEXT TO THE RIVER
Johnny gets in the Westgate car to drive. He starts it.
Otto shoves Connor in the front seat and wedges in beside him.
Johnny speeds away.
Hauser and his men blast out of the tree-line and chase the car on foot.
One of Hauser's men catches up as the vehicle speeds forward.
He grabs Otto's arm that is hanging out of the window. The henchman hangs on to it and the car door as the vehicle accelerates.
Connor is staring forward. He calmly glances over at the man and Otto struggling.
INT. WESTGATE VEHICLE
Otto twist around and bites The Nazi henchman's hand. The man lets go with a scream. Otto pries his other hand loose from the door.
The Nazi agent falls to the ground with a thud and rolls to a stop.
Connor is smug.
CONNOR (O.S.)
That man would have lost a hand
if you had two pieces of bread.
Otto glances back to see if anyone is following.
He sees the agent scrabble to his feet and rush to the nearby car. Hauser and another man meet him there. They get in the car and speed after the Westgate vehicle.
OTTO
Hurry, Johnny. Those guys are
bad men.
Connor looks put-out and quips.
CONNOR
What on earth is going on? Where
did you get this nice looking
vehicle, Johnny Westgate? It
appears expensive.
Johnny ignores the question. He looks at Connor with a suspicious glance.
JOHNNY
Better yet, Connor. How did you find
us and why?
Connor is insulted.
CONNOR
I was merely doing a good deed,
thank you. I saw a man follow
you as you left the laboratory
and when I saw the automobiles
I decided to get a boat to avoid
the congestion.
Otto badgers Connor with his interpretation of a British accent.

Here they come!
Johnny pushes hard on the accelerator and the powerful engine moans speeding the Westgate car forward. He swiftly turns and accelerates again onto a two lane hard surface highway.
OTTO
Shouldn’t we be shooting one?
Connor is composed.
CONNOR
Of course. Shouldn’t we have gun?
His friends amuse Johnny.

OTTO
What now, Johnny? You got any

Johnny smiles and begins to pull a cable-handle under the dash.
JOHNNY
I’ll make a point with them.
Connor smiles smugly.
CONNOR
Original, Jonathan.
Otto holds onto the dash of the car.
Johnny flips a switch on the dash.
EXT. TWO LANE HIGHWAY
The heavy front bumper of the Westgate car moves forward. It stops after extending about three feet. Four large, two feet long spikes pop out of the front bumper. Two heavy sharp blades open on the middle spikes and begin to spin. The vehicle accelerates.
Otto presses his face against the windshield trying to get a better look at the front bumper. His face is distorted.
INT. WESTGATE VEHICLE
Otto's eyes get big and he springs back into the car seat as they close on the two cars.
Connor is casually.

CONNOR

There will be more. Nazi don’t give

Connor is insulted.
CONNOR
Butlering is an honorable profession,

Hauser is amused at Connor’s grit. He and his men drag and push Johnny and his friends. They struggle against the Nazi's that are shoving them into a large ornate study lined with books.

Max runs his fingers through his thick dark hair. He comes out with a small thin piece of metal hidden between his fingers.
His steel blue eyes glance at Hauser.
Hauser nudges him with his drawn pistol.
HAUSER

Suddenly Max presses the metal hard between his fingers and throws it against the wall.
It flashes a blinding brilliant light.
Hauser and his man are blinded for a moment.
Max jumps forward to a large panel and pushes a large red button as Hauser shoots at him.
The floor beneath Hauser and his man rumbles as it gives way. Suddenly two large doors fall open. Hauser and his man fall into the open hole.

The light from the hole that they fell through lights the dark basement and their fate. They are pulled and swirled toward the rushing brown water spillway.
The two men struggle to keep their heads above the dirty water. Hauser yells out to his Nazi agent.
HAUSER
Use your shirt for floatation.
The man yells back to him as he makes a bubble with his heavy shirt and uses it to float. Hauser does the same.
NAZI AGENT

Hauser is not impressed with his observant colleague and reminds him of their situation.

He hear an engine start. He then hears voices and dogs barking and growling.

The Westgate security force is three hundred yards behind him and closing.
He jumps off a few feet away and lets the tractor crash through the two fences.
The tractor spins its wheels in the tangle of the crushed wire fences. Electrical sparks hit the ground. The fire and smoke from a shorted circuit can be seen as the tractor moans to a stop.
