Stockham Family Funeral HomeBeverly Ann PetersonBeverly Ann Sonsalla was born March 28, 1938, in Arcadia, Wisconsin, the daughter of Stanley F. and Phyllis O. (Andre) Sonsalla. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City in 1955. She married Roy Curtis Peterson on October 8, 1955, and had four beautiful children, Annette, Pam, Lori, and Rick. The family lived on a farm in Webster City, Iowa, until 1987, when Roy and Bev moved to Galva, KS. She had eight grandchildren, Brian, Ira, Kendall, Eliana, Lindsay, Adam, Drew, and Eric. Her constant companion was her beloved dog, Misty.Beverly worked at Beam Industries in Webster City, IA, from mid 1970 to 1987, before Roy and Bev moved to Galva, KS. Bev worked for Femco from 1987 to 2008, when she joined Roy in retirement. Bev loved cowboy music. Riders of the Cross and the Prairie Rose Wranglers were her favorites. She helped bring the Riders of the Cross to the Harmony Christian Church to play. She was very artistic and spent many enjoyable hours scrapbooking, card making, and painting the wooden yard decorations that Roy made. Her handiwork can be seen in their front yard. She was active in many church activities and especially enjoyed Bible study, book club, and taking care of her friends at church. Bev had musical talent of her own. She played her organ at home and when the family was still in Iowa, she would often play the “Beer Barrel Polka” and “My Happiness” on the accordion, sometimes accompanying her children with their instruments. Beverly went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 7, 2011. She was seventy-two. Bev was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Lori. Besides her husband, Roy, her three children and eight grandchildren, she is survived by her siblings, Don, Mary Jo, Jerry, Jim, Wanda and Randy, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.Bev will be missed by all whose lives she has touched.-177802730500BevThe Silver Hair, the smiling face, always presenting a royal grace:Full of fun and zest for life.
