John Lehman High School

In January of 1938, the Old King Cole Company, located in Canton at that time, gave “Little Polaris” to the school as a mascot; he was a white papier-mâché polar bear. Little Polaris is an accessory in a couple of photos in the 1938 “Polaris,” and I saw him in Polaris yearbook photos as late as 1972, but apparently in poor condition. ................
