Embark on fantastic

journeys with WITF this month! It's all about travel with Samantha Brown's Places to Love, Weekends with Yankee and Rick Steves Europe. Take a trip through the United States in prime time with Family Pictures USA. Host Thomas Allen Harris explores cities, towns and rural communities through the lens of the family photo album, unearthing personal stories of history, diversity and common values. Watch three episodes over two nights on August 12 and 13. We hope you enjoyed The Summer of Space programming lineup. PBS is already busy planning next summer's theme. The next big series coming to your television screens will be Ken Burns' Country Music, premiering September 15. This 16.5-hour documentary explores the uniquely American artform and is the culmination of years of research, interviews, and production. Catch sneak previews throughout August on PBS Previews. The WITF Music project will complement the series with special localized Country Music themed TV and Radio specials. Plus, mark your calendar to join us September 8 for WITF Music: Storyteller Sessions, a special preview and concert experience at American Music Theatre in Lancaster from 6-8pm. Enjoy a sneak peek at the new Ken Burns series plus, musical performances by Country & Bluegrass artists like Colebrook Road, Ben Gallaher and more?with insights into their songwriting process and reflections on the classic country artists who've inspired them. Tickets and information are at countrymusic. As Time Goes By has been running continuously for the past four years. The series wraps this month and will be put on the shelf for a brief hiatus.
