General Shotgun (Trap & Skeet) Range Rules. All persons, including shooters, referees, range personnel, and spectators must wear eye and ear protection while on or near the skeet and trap ranges. [NRA] When not on the shooting station, the gun shall be carried with the breech open and empty. Pumps and automatics will have the breech open. ................
