2015 was not a good year for the Morningstar equity style box, as only large growth posted a positive return. However, in the context of global markets, U.S. large stocks were the only ones with a positive return for the year. In the high-yield-bond market, there was a credit shock in the fourth quarter, as investors became very concerned about bankruptcy risk, particularly in the high-yield-energy sector.
