The minutes of June 30, 2014 were reviewed and it was recommended that they be approved.Action – Motion: Monica Lucas/Second: Miranda Valentine-Fife / Vote: Unanimous.Public Comment- Mrs. Lucas informed the committee that Margret Walsh is retiring as Director of Human Rights and being replaced by Debbie Lockhart. She advised that the Department of DBHS has a new web site for licensing and step 1 and 2 have been combined in reference to new license request. She went on to inform that Jim Stewart former commissioner was replaced by Deborah Ferguson in June. David Banks (Brother Keepers) reported 5,949.66 dollars in account, 700 dollars for use of building along with 73 cents mileage reimbursement. Mr. Banks discuss the process for mileage reimbursement. Mr. Curseen advised committee that it was their responsibility to provide support to the LHRC. Mr. Curseen informed the committee that King Dominion is in the process of moving to Turner Road. An announcement was made concerning the transition of Mr. Robert Gay as the point of contact for all reports. Mr. Gay gave committee his fax number. (804) 541-7895. Old Business: 1.LHRC Follow-up RE: Quarterly Report Revisions for Periods January 1 – March 31, 2014 (1st Quarter) (Requested follow-up was due to be submitted to the OHR by June 18, 2014.) Group A: Brother’s Keeper, Inc. – Report needs to be submitted on correct form. – Received – The committee motioned to approve report.Creative Youth Concepts - Report needs to be submitted on correct form. Also for Pg. 3, question 3, the LHRC requests to review your policies on e-mails, cell phones & social media. Creative Youth Concepts stated they would submit documentation of proof of having report submitted on time. Committee requested to receive proof of receipt that report was submitted on August 19, 2014 by September 17, 2014. Provider submitted acceptable proof prior to close of meeting on September 3, 2014. Committee recommended to rescind motion for citation.
