NEW IN-CAR ENTERTAINENT PACKAGE TO ADD
NEW ALTO HITS UK SHOWROOMS
The eagerly-awaited new Suzuki Alto city car is now on sale in the UK, and is available to test drive and purchase at any of the 147 Suzuki automobile franchise dealers. The all new car in the Japanese manufacturer’s model range, which was launched on 01 March 2009, is the lowest emitting five-door petrol family car on the market, and comes at a time when many motorists are downsizing to more economical vehicles.
The five-door Alto, available with both manual and automatic transmission, a proposition not often seen in the A-segment, comes complete with a three-cylinder 67 bhp 1.0-litre engine returning a combined fuel consumption of 64.2 mpg and producing CO2 emissions as low as 103 g/km. This qualifies the car for £35 annual road tax (VED Band B), and insurance group 1E for the manual variants, the cheapest classification available.
The seventh generation and stylish Alto, which this year celebrates its 30 year anniversary, is available in three different grades of specification with prices starting at just £6,795 OTR for the SZ2. Standard equipment includes front electric windows, front and side airbags, ABS with EBD, and remote central locking.
Commenting on the arrival of the new model, David Seward, Director of Sales and Marketing, Suzuki GB, explains: “The Alto is a very exciting addition to our product line-up, and we have already received a significant level of interest from both existing and new customers. It promises to be a very encouraging start in what are set to be challenging market conditions.”
