Tech Plan: Action Plan

In this section the district will define the Goal of the plan. The Goal of the District Technology Plan is the key initiative that the district is committed to achieving and that incorporate specific measureable outcomes by which the district’s plan is to be evaluated. For each goal the district will specify Strategies and Activities that support the attainment of the goal. The goal is to be identified and supported for three years of the plan (FY 2015, FY 2016, and FY 2017). The Strategies and Activities will be in each of these applicable areas:

• Instruction

• Professional Development

• Technology Deployment

After defining strategies and activities, districts will describe:

• Monitoring Process

Goals

• Briefly state the title of the goal

• Describe current student achievement level

• Identify the S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely) goal(s) to be attained each year of the plan

Strategies and Activities

• Include start date and end date

• Align with State and national standards which support advanced technology used to improve student achievement

• Include how students in high-poverty/high-needs schools are being helped, if applicable

• Align with State and/or national standards for using advanced technology to improve student academic achievement utilizing telecommunications, instructional technology and information technology services

Monitoring Process

• Describe how district personnel will monitor the effectiveness of strategies and activities toward the achievement of the goal. Description should address:

o integrating technology into instruction

o increasing the ability of teachers to teach

o enabling students to reach challenging state academic standards

o name and role of person overseeing the goal, strategies and activities

Tech Plan: Action Plan FY2014

Goal - note: you can only have one goal for each fiscal year

Please compile the Goal, Strategies and Activities for FY 2015 on the following screens, starting with your first goal. You may compile up to three goals for each year of the plan. Each goal must contain strategies and activities for all areas in the action plan for each year (Instruction, Professional Development and Technology Deployment Data) along with identifying the corresponding timeline for each.

Goal definitions:

• The goal must promote continuous and substantial progress to ensure that students in each subgroup meet the State’s target.

• Each goal must be written to identify the current achievement level and specific, measurable outcomes in terms of AYP and/or AMAO and special education compliance to be achieved for each year of the three required years of the plan.

• The goal must be clear and tightly focused on the fundamental teaching and learning issues that have prevented the district from making adequate progress or maintaining special education compliance.

• The goal should not be written to target performance that is less than Safe Harbor or AYP and/or AMAO; areas of deficiency must be clearly indicated.
